The problem with Genn and Baku, long term, is that it adds an extra axis (even vs odd) of power level to cards that can make things much more unstable (I.e. silver hand buff cards going up in mana from even to odd was a VERY big buff instead of a nerf, originally). It makes tuning much more problematic, but given limited time, I agree with Kibler that this will (hopefully) be a fun thing to spice things up

I doubt we will see any nerfs like Equality going from two to four mana because of how good even Paladin is, like we did way back when. If something is broken due to odd/even synergy, they’re likely to just let it be broken. It’s just a month.

I want more odd coat reward cards. 3 mana 3/4 with rush, If your deck contains no 2 costed cards draw 2 cards. Could be a 4/4 a 3mana 4/4 with rush seams fair.

Mage getting volley maul. Mage going face. Odd face mage. What deck are you gonna make in perils in paradise? what I'm worried about is priest getting beasts and secret. Although with only 40 cards it's just one secret? Easy to guess. lackluster colour splashes, Lichking getting shaman cards, Thrall getting demon hunter cards(they're siblings right wait is demon hunter and malfulrion). You know the eleven classes can be cut down to 3 classes mage board clear and burn. Warrior board clears and weapons. Finally Hunter beast and weapons.(No spells that go face). See eleven classes down to 3 classes. No healing and no Card draw.

Two cards that were rotated super early because of their insane power are now back in Standard! I think that might say a lot about power level of cards! (Glenn and Baku existing alongside Reno decks is verrrrry interesting)

Genn and Baku were powerful due to the environment, which did include various support cards for them (even if the Eel was basically the only meta relevant of them). But it took all the sets surrounding them to make the decks work. Also, they're only around until 23rd of July, so it's not like we're going to see them in Standard for that long. And in Wild they're basically relegated to off-meta decks that can do well if they catch most opponents unaware.

I think the major thing that makes Genn/Baku particularly interesting for the next month is that using them basically precludes playing Reno. I think we'll end up seeing a lot of new non-Reno decks in the next few weeks (granted most of them are going to be aggro lists).

There's definitely going to be some Bakulander lists. I'm currently playing one in DH, since Kurt is Odd, as well as Argus It's absolutely a meme, but has been very entertaining

Actually, I've been running ETC Champion instead of Momentum, and the only spells are all the good 1m ones. Everything else is a minion. Could probably optimize it better, but just looking for it to be fun more than anything

I am currently playing Baku demon hunter and it's pure unadulterated cancer. It's not even that good, it's just sooo high roll'y. And I love it.

I feel bad for kibler that both cool games he had here he didnt get to play the new card, it does seem pretty fun (i wonder how balanced getting a guaranteed wondrous wand will be for certain decks though)

I think they're an interesting deck building archetype, and a fun deck concept. but it's a fun deck concept that doesn't really have a lot of room to play around with once you've built it, so it gets old fast. Hero Powers as focus are interesting but inherently one note, so if you keep the cards around for a long time, the decks (which are powerful enough to be played regularly) get stale. I think having them in for a month or so sounds like a great design decision.

The return of Glenn and Baku feels insane to me. In one of the most volatile metas of the last year, they introduce two of the most broken and horribly designed cards in hearthstone history. Blizzard is insane
