his opponent was a bad player, going face as control mage , played greedy & quickly , so kibler's plays was obvious.

control mage? two mana wyrms, two medivh's valets. the kabal couriers are in the deck so he can find extra burn to beat control decks. it's some weird hybrid but the purpose of hybrid decks is being able to play two different playstyles depending on matchup. count the damage - he would have won going face if kibler hadn't happened to draw both babbling books before turn 10. how do you think he made it to legend rank 201? also "playing greedy and quickly" is an oxymoron lol.

incidentally, kibler won because opponent was NOT a 'control mage.' opponent got extremely lucky rolls time after time but still lost because his deck does not have any healing and ice block does nothing in fatigue. if he was playing a control mage you'd think he'd have at least an ice barrier. anyway ask kibler in chat, i guarantee he's not going to call this opponent a "bad player"

Quentin CHIRON The element of surprise is quite a good thing I remember back when midrange and aggro shaman had very similar starts to one another, many players wouldnt find out which was which until around turn 5, which at point was probably too late. Saying he is a bad player is a write off, he seemed fine to me. Plus, mage benefits naturally from aggressive early game and can still have fuel in the tank for the late game. Just in sheer power, not meta, mage is probably in the top 3 because how their card pool covers so much. Early game? Mana Wyrm and Babbling Book, Check. Mid Game? Secrets and Fireball. Late Game? Antonidas. Not many classses have that consistent curve.

I have to say, I don't know if the meta in general is slower than in Gadget (I feel like it is, but that may be just me), but the thing I am 100% more sure is that the control vs control games are A LOT more exciting. There are quite a lot more controlling decks, and even some midrange decks here and there, so, compared with the "whatever-Reno" that we used to have... man, this expansion is being great for control players. (And this is coming from someone who only plays Wild, where people could play Reno still)

Yeah, and the increased card pool has made Wild a lot more exciting too. I think the amount of cards is so large now that it's becoming a lot more conceivable to play Reno decks in classes that normally would never dream of it. Like, a Reno Hunter can now run Explosive Trap, Grievous Bite, Powershot, Dreadscale, Unleash the Hounds AND Explosive Shot (though I prolly wouldn't recommend running literally all of those) as board clears, meaning the need for duplicates isn't really there as much. You can even run one Highmane and one Swamp King Dred and not feel too bad about it.

Nobody You are totally right, dragonfire pot, shadow visions for more of them, and let them run out of gas, but quest warrior are very tough for this deck

You could have known that was a counterspell / mana bind / spellbender. You knew the first secret was an ice block, you'd played a minion and attacked his face so it couldn't be vaporize / ice barrier / mirror entity. This leaves Counterspell / Mana Bind / Spellbender.

I don't know if Kibler actually responds to youtube comments, but I assume some of you have at least also made this deck. Do you know what I'm supposed to do against pirate warrior and quest rogue with this deck? I'm trying to get to rank 5 but they are constantly screwing me over on the way there. Pirates are just too fast for me to keep up with and regain control of the board and rogue is literally killing me before I have the mana to cast dragonfire. This is by far my favorite priest deck to play and I hate having to play silence priest instead just to avoid dying on turn 5 so I'd appreciate any advice

Purin1023 sorry but pirates is all about board control (maybe tech in an ooze or something) and quest rogue doesnt do anything before turn 5, so you should be fine against both
