Becomes better with Pirate Package! Play Shaman? Well well well, here comes the Pirate Package to improve your deck! Playing Paladin? Well, 3 extra pirates incoming!

It feels more common because it comes out turn 1. You will ALWAYS see Patches due to it's effect, whereas Boom could have that tendency to be near the bottom of the deck back in the day.

Every expansion Blizzard does the same. Every. single. fucking. expansion. Lots of cards which seem cool, then a couple ones that turn the meta into full grown metastasis. 1-2 1 mana card that it's a 3-2 90% of the time?. 1-1 charge for free in turn 1?. Seems they learnt NOTHING with the bullshit mechs, and it's been a while since that shit expansion.

This is just the Hearthstone team catering to a, probably very large, audience that probably would high tail it from the game and, (take their money with them,) if there stops existing these simplistic," just play what you get" and win/concede by turn 7 kind of decks. It sucks, but it is a large part of their market I bet. I personally don't hate these kinds of decks every now and them, the problem is their simplicity and win power make for a very stale, repetitive ladder experience.

By allowing the people to basically behave like bots (because apparently that's what people want to do), they've also reduced the workload on their servers. These people could all just as well be replaced with bots and be on par, if not better than - but then the people who'd actually use their brain wouldn't have _any_ incentive to play. Just divide the people into horses and the carrots that dangle in front of them. Brilliant.

Erratic & Static Yup, yup. That's how many industries work I imagine. Just give them what they think they want (winning). And don't make them question if it is worth it or even fun. What does it amount to in the end? Consciously it is ultimately a crappy situation for all parties. But thankfully there's still that small percentage of good/interesting games that help brigthen up the staleness. Thank goodness for that.

I believe if warrior doesn't have Kor'kron Elite it will not be as bad at it is, that 4/3 for 4 with charge is quite a problem since many expansion. I hope they gonnat nerf it soon.

Kor'Kron Elite is fine honestly. Patches the Pirate and/or Smalltime Bucaneer just shouldn't exist. Or at least be class cards. The fact that Warriors can turn 1 N'Zoth First Mate, which summons Patches. Then also follow up with a 1 mana 3/2 is insane.

Yes, because everey expansion it feels like it can't get any faster, but behold the great wisdom of printing overstated 1-mana minions! First we had 4 mana 7/7, now we have turn-4 lethal, by the next expansion the games will be over before you can even use your hero power!

priest actually does really well. Reno or dragons priest decks have good answers to pirate. Every list played now has a lot of answers (some taunts, ooze, heals). Pirate is getting really boring to play and is not consistent at all. The only reason i keep playing it is that im short on dust.

+Fox Mulder true, many commentators and Ragers of the pirate decks don't understand how to tech correctly. The issue with shaman was that it had basically no weaknesses. Pirate warrior will be gone by the end of the month at the latest. Too reliant on early aggression and runs out steam fast enough.

Fox Mulder The problem is, any other deck could do better. Reno is more consistent in Warlock. Dragon-archetype works better in Paladin (arguably Warrior). Warriors, Druids, and Paldins have better control. Every class has better aggro and better combo choices. Priest has awful tempo, has no choice but to out-value opponents. They're predictable. The way to win VS. Priest is with this simple priority simple: "Q: Does he have a minion and is outside lethal range? If YES, kill it, if NO, GG." Dragonfire Potion isn't great, most decks run some dragons (usually Azure Drakes), it isn't a guaranteed clear by any means, Soulpriest+CoH is better, and other classes (Paladin, Warlock, Mage) just have better, more reliable options. I agree Pirate Warr isn't all-consuming (the 1 mana 1/2 with +2 dmg w/ weapon equipped is NOTHING compared to tunnel trogg or mana wyrm), it's more just "the popular aggro deck" BUT- 4-attack minions. Priest, in general, is still at the bottom. Yeah, sometimes a meme deck (like Chansey Priest) will do well at rank 16, but that's about it. Anduin is even the worst base hero FFS.

I agree with Kripp i've been using Renolock and it really depends if you get a good opening hand. Since Renolock does have a lot of removal but it's too slow. If the Pirate Warrior gets a good opening it's hard to recover.

Just at the start of this season i rushed my scrub ass down to 15 with my malygos rogue. Just 3-4 days later the ladder was filled with broken jade decks, insane reno/kazakus decks and pirate worrior. Im now back to 18 and demotivated. It felt so good watching this video :,-)

I'm having decent luck with rng reno mage, ice block/reno helps alot against pirates and wombo combos with brann and antonidas usually ends the game before I get out controlled, and losing can always be blamed on bad rng.

My regular warlock discard zoo deck won against pirate warrior 7 out of 7 times. Also wins against jade druid. Shamans and priests are difficult though, if they have a board clear you generally lose. I also played Reno lock, it was decent against pirate... if you can get demonwrath and some other early game you generally win, otherwise you lose.

How are ANY of those decks brain dead? You need to stop listening to the excuses butt hurt people give you for loosing. Zoo is pretty hard to pilot well. I don't know about Reno decks though, I main Mage and have never seen a reason too put it in cause Mage is already flexible enough to get out of most lethal situations but it clearly has a higher skill ceiling than you give it credit for. Maybe actually play some of these decks yourself, before jumping on the what is cool to hate wagon?
