The AI and ping to the acolyte over playing the Antonidas was a fantastic, game-winning play.

I mean, the thought is that he would activate it with AI, but Strifecro went all in on draw for the Alex, which ended up being the correct play. However, I can guarantee that many if not most people would cash in on a Antonidas value with the AI, and thus lose the game.

Crash Bandicoot well. the way he played won him the game. rng is always a thing. but if it wasn't a meteor it may have been a flames trike blizzard nova or volcanic pot which basically all would have cleared aswell after some turns. strife played 100% correctly this game. which he does most of the time. which is why only him and kibler are the only ones I am still subbed to.

+Albi Losha The whole point was he COULD activate it with AI but chose not too, plus against a deck with no hard removal you don't actually need to activate it same turn.

I was able to catch this game live and it was amazing to watch Steife execute each turn so efficiently.

As much I liked StrifeCro plays, I just feel that game went his way because PW has clunky hand on most of the game. And that is not typical playing against Pirate Warrior experience.

Man people complain so much about pirate warriors and aggro pally but mages are the real cancer of HS, disgusting board clears, spells with ridiculous amounts of damage and then the worst card of all... ICE BLOCK holy fucking shit a mage can end up with like 3-5 ice blocks and then you just have to sit until it gets the cards it needs to deal that direct damage on your face, at that point there is no skill required and no counter play possible to something your opponent just created out of nowhere, you pretty much need to have eater of secrets, maybe even 2 on every deck if you want to be consistent against mages and that means that you don't have 2 cards that could be better in every single other match up and also eater is literally useless against every other deck, pally spells are not even bad to justify the use of eater... We can only hope ice blocks gets nerfed so they can't play 4 back to back.

I've played both freeze mage and aggro this season. If you did too you would've realized already that freeze mage is not that consistent, 60% average maybe(if you are a good player)? You have to stick with the game plan and don't get unlucky with the draw, and THEN the ice block makes its job. Believe me, if you lose to an ice block that is because the freeze mage played well, stalling while drawing the deck is the plan. Also the aggro meta is very favorable to freeze mage, you should look back when midrange was stronger- freeze mage just couldn't win.

I'm rank 6 rn and usually hang around that area, I'm not claming to be the best player but when a mage can just get multiple ice blocks and I have to sit and watch while doing nothing then it's pretty dumb. yesterday I needed one win to go up tp rank 5 and a secret mage got 5 ice blocks in a row and I had to sit and do nothing about it while he got 3 pyroblasts (I swashed one spell counter so dodged the first one) and then I had a 15/15 van cleef, a 11/11 adventurer, one arcane giant and a swash and for those 5 turns I was stuck at 2 HP just watching. With all the insane board clears and damage output bursts I just find ice block pretty stupid, specially when they can get more than 2 without much trouble. I really don't have a problem with mage and any other spells at all but you do have to accept that 5 ice blocks back to back is pretty fucking ridiculous.

So your definition of a good deck is getting spells you don't even have on your deck and lucking your oponent out?

QuesadillaLover01 so your definition of a good deck is playing minions on curve every turn? Because that's what happens if there is no rng. Discover spells not in your deck significantly diverse the play style, so that even with the same deck every time you play it it feels different and requires different thinking of risk vs reward, that's exactly the reason we have rng in card game and more so in hearthstone. If you don't like rng and would like a game decided solely by skills, go play chess, there is 0 rng in that.
