I actually lost a super close game as Zerg Druid against Handlock because of a Lorewalker Cho from a Shredder. I had to cast Soul of the Forest to not get cleared by Shadowflame, causing the Warlock to have just enough trees to kill enough of my trees to prevent lethal. He used Jaraxxus a couple turns later, gg. Took both Shredders out immediately after, Yetis are almost as good, and in a token deck I don't really need *even more* tokens just to risk losing because of the random nature of the Shredder tokens.

There is one thing people often don't consider when comparing this card to Yeti: Let's say the average 2 drop is a 2/2. Then you add these stats ontop of piloted shredders and you get a 6/5 worth of stats which sounds better compared to a 4/5, right? But what people oftimes miss, is that Yeti still deals 4 damage after taking 3 damage which makes him a potential 8/5. Yeti has the potential to kill 2 4 or 5 drops which Piloted shredder hasn't. It happened to me quite often, that the enemy trades his 4 drop into my shredder and kills my 2 drop (e.g a 2/2) with a 2/3. A Yeti would have gone 2 for 1 while the shredder only went 1 for 1 in this case. What do you guys think about this?

As someone who only watches hearthstone I quite miss old Nat Pagle. Was always fun to see both players get early Pagle and see who ends up being more lucky. Ways always entertaining to see a very unlucky pagle with +5 turns of no draws.

DtrainTheGreat I played HS for quite awhile but honestly its not as fun as watching. I really love arena, love random aspect, the level playing field (of sorts). For me, I play to have fun, so decks I end up making are pretty average 4 win decks. So this means I have to continue to farm quests and constructive to even afford the occassional arena run. This is just not fun for me. Why waste hours farming for arena runs when I can immediately watch kripp run arena ? At end of the day, I simply get more joy from watching rather than playing. Everyone is different. Just for me playing HS gets old after awhile. Where HS stream dont ever seem to get old.

Rena Chu have to agree with that arena has far too much variance for anyone not playing HS all the time. You get an arena run ever 2-3 days and if the draft sucks regardless of what you do you lose and have to wait another 2-3 days to get back in. Then if you do average 6-8 wins or so you could get bad rng and get mostly dust. And finally you have the super agro meta going through HS at the moment. drafting a good deck to die to a face deck is just ragequit worthy

Mana tide is pretty much Shaman's only real draw engine. Class specific cards are generally stronger than other cards. Mana Tide Totem costs 1 more AND has less health.

Its like the neutral 5 mana fire elemental from blackrock. If the special thing is the same or nearly if you're rngesus :) The card becomes alot better. And even though its 50% it has 1 more health which makes it harder to take out. and In this meta everything is very aggressive and there are alot of 2 mana 3/2 's which kill mana tide immediately But no cho. And if you play it at turn 2 you can taunt up the idea is to protect it till your draw the shit you need. Ik i'm bad at english sorry :/

My best one was a match, where my opponent had a small minion out and I payed Loatheb to stop him from casting spells. My Opponent played Piloted Shredder and a 2-drop. I decided to kill the Shredder with Loatheb, use Timerewinder to bounce it and then to replay it for another turn without spells. But th Shredder spawned doomsayer, so I just bounce Loatheb and used heroability to trade timerewind for 3 minions. LOL

Shredder is extremely over tuned. Its a common with a legendary effect. The issue with shredder and a lot of GvG is that its built around this tribal, mechs, and tribal cards are supposed to be less efficient than non tribals when you dont have it being played with others. (AKA) its less efficient as an individual card to account for the added value it gets with combos. In hearthstone though the mech cards are cost efficient and powerful, often more powerful than the non tribals which totally warps the meta. Looking at shredder it not only can often 2-1 but it 2-1s with tempo because it doesnt put a 2 cost creature in your hand it also plays it the cost efficiency is insane AND its a tribal which means it combos with mech synergies. If the card said put a 2 cost minion in your hand it would be better. If it said put a 1/1 a 2/2 or a 3/3 into the field it would be better. The issue is that there is no reasonable way to contend with it. If you attack it they basically get a 2 cost minion with charge. If you let it be then they just face rush you down with a 4 attack minion. The reason that so many control decks have been suffering is not because aggro is faster, its because there are just a ton of minions which you cant deal with, its easier as the attacker to spit out these super efficient combo creatures, than as a control player trying to manage the board. I really dislike a lot of the GvG because in a game about controlling board state and they keep introducing creatures which disrupt the board dynamics so hard. Before we had Bloodhoof, now in regular use we see sledge, spiders, highmane, shredders and then creatures like sylvanas, dr boom where they get good value even when you can deal with them. What we end up with is often a board which is easier to attack through to force them to do the trades because trading your self is not incentivised.

I love it when the opponent gets nat pagle when im playing fatigue driud. One time the opponent had a piloted shredder and sneeds shredder, I poison seed starfalled the board and both shredders got nat pagle. After the nats giving him 4 cards the opponent then cleared the board with with twisting nether.

Its really not that good if you can kill it with even damage. Spells like frost bolt and a lot of 2 drops with three attack can kill it in one turn, and what remains is a weaker minion. I like to compare it to a yeti this way: You frostbolt yeti, what remains is a 4/2. You frostbolt Piloted Shredder, what remains is a 2/2 (on avarage). There are many many different ways to deal three damage, so it's in my opinion only good when you have to overkill it, or when it can trade up against something like a 7/4, that a yeti would obviously die to. They are different minions but against an aggro meta, yeti is the winner in my eyes. What do you think?

Pagle is there for people like you who don't see it's value. Let's say you're up against a Mage and you have 10 health. Your opponent can't kill you, but then he draws a pyroblast with pagles effect. Trust me, happened before.

Since TGT has been out, I've played about 10 of these things. On atleast THREE occasions I've had Darnassus aspirants come out. That card is a nerf on Shredder. About time, but I've never seen anyone else have this happen... so was it actually a nerf on me? only blizzard knows.

I really think this card contains some terrible game design. The fact that introduces some RNG with no possibility of planning or countering is kinda dumb. In my opinion it should spawn a random 2-drop MECH. So the entire possible choices would be: * Anodized Robo Cub * Snowchugger * Shielded Minibot * Shadowboxer * Goblin Auto-barber * Whirling Zap-o-matic * Annoy-o-tron * Explosive Sheep * Mechwarper * Micro Machine It's far more consistent, it makes other cards like Fel Cannon usable with Piloted Shredder, it removes the dumb lose/win spawns (Doomsayer/Millhouse), and it increases mech synergy. I'd do the same with Piloted Sky Golem, changed to a random 4-drop MECH: * Fel Cannon * Screwjank Clunker * Arcane Nullifier X-21 * Enhance-o-mechano * Jeeves * Mechanical Yeti * Piloted Shredder It increases mech synergy and it becomes a bit more consistent.

oce i played agiesnt a priest he played 2 piloted shredder . both gave him a "light well" then he played 1 and it was at the point of the game where you play the card you just had drawn . so i couldnt kill any thing cus it will all ways heal it (he buffed them to 10+hp) so it was very awkward.

sticky minions don't make the Meta (not may-duh) more aggressive. it makes it more control oriented. just as well...shredders are good for one thing and one thing only...baiting out a silence. they simply die to everything. the slightest breeze kills them, and they're target #1 as soon as they're dropped. they never survive a single turn on board. which is why mechanical yeti is better.

*TRUE STORY* I have a piloted shredder on the board, my opponent has big minions and doctor boom with boombots on the board. (I'm playing my spare part druid). I had one special... card in my hand, which was Poison Seeds. I played Poison seeds, first all minions change into 2/2 Treants, including my shredder. The deathrattle of my shredder activates first, explosive sheep comes out, then the boombot deathrattles activate. My explosive sheep gets hit, ALL TREANTS DIE. In the end I still lost. ~The end~
