I feel like this spell could have seen some niche or gimmick uses in priest. Priest uses a few cards that get gain attack every time a minion is healed. if madness paired with those and a circle of healing, it would provide a little bit of burst.

Spreading Madness OTK: 1. Summoning Stone gets you a Spellslinger and a Tomb Pillager. You Brewmaster the Spellslinger. 2. Brann into Spellslinger gets you Shadowstep and a Spreading Madness. You Shadowstep the Spellslinger. 3. On the same turn, you play the Spellslinger. You get an Equality and another Spreading Madness. 5. Thaurissan + Coin (either from going second or the Pillager) + Faceless on the Thaurissan. 5. Realize that the previous step was numbered wrongly. 6. Wild Pyromancer into Equality, clearing the board*, into Spreading Madness x4 (the other 2 are from your deck), which will obviously be able to hit your opponent enough for a nice, simple OTK! To think the most people will ever think about this card is a Patron combo... *This is an optional step, just in case you forgot your prayer and sacrifice to the almighty RNGesus

Why not give priest the "Passive" spell from Magic. A spell or a minion that make a minion not able to attack. Maybe silence target then make it not able to attack. Making it an ancient watcher basically. Goes with priest's silence/passive theme.
