I have been out of the game for a while, I saw that Druid play Incarceration and my thought was really "Yeah, exactly what druid needed, solid cheap removal, just in case they weren't the best at every mechanic in the game."

At 1:30, wouldn't it be better to play Mccaw first then snapdragon after. That way mccaw would buff every minion in the deck and not just battlecry minions.

Yeah it was bugging me too, and yes it would have been better, but not a huge improvement. you could say he may have waited a turn to see if a better battlecry to copy was available.

I would have totally gone for Mccaw first, by the way, just trying to figure out Brian's thought, I would assume he waited a turn for a potential change, especially since like he said most of the cards were Battlecry anyways and he already had Glugg on hand.

I have come to the point in standard right now that any time I see a Druid with 40 I just concead because you can’t actually beat them once they hit a certain amount of mana. A class that has 20 mana, can rebuild there board every turn with rush or taunt and of course bran combo’s because Druid has 20 mana and doesn’t have to worry about being a normal class.

The amount of games where a druid does the exact same thing to Kibler each time making him lose is getting pretty stale now... I understand the plays leading up to his loss are what's important but I'd still rather see other matchups. It's cool seeing Kibler's thinking and what he does each turn, but does it matter when the Druid cards can respond the exact same way regardless what Kibler does?

Simple when you play against druid whip out superior aggro, like XL Wurlock. Druid dead, no problem :)

I mean, I hate druid like the next guy, but either you give him very good early ramp and remove scale or give him early ramp and remove the 20 mana cap, so he can clear but can't develop his board/play daddy D the same turn.

I've been on and off hearthstone and every single time I come back it's druid that ruins everyone's fun. The only time I can remember druid not being the bane of fun is in the witch wood days with hadronox druid but even then I vaguely remember some malygos otk, but back then a lot of classes had reliable OTKs that were meta so it was pretty par for the course.

And it's always the same exact cards on curve, turn 2 scrappy scraps, turn 4 dumb body + ramp, then ramp into always 2 scales + Topior, to finish with a +20 Denathrius by turn 10.

​@@keyserzose At this point I'm just conceding druids because I just know that it's gonna be no fun. Even if he doesn't get the god draw, druid has a billion ways to tutor the specific cards it wants that he WILL have a scale by 7, he WILL have Guff by turn 6, and he's absolutely gonna have denathrius when he needs it. Value rogue is my favourite deck to play and it loses immediately to both druid and quest priest unless Mutanus or Theotar hit. If they don't then it's GG and it just sucks ass knowing that the entire games outcome is just RNG.

@@Defnotdiablo I've been playing Deathrattle Rogue and I like the matchup vs 40 card Ramp Druid. Cheating out big Deathrattles like Burning Blade Acolyte, Stoneborn General, and Masked Revel are pretty good against Druid's removal tools. Scale of Onyxia can't even clear two 5/8 taunts.

My guess would be that he already planned Snapdragon into Macaw in the mulligan and just didn't adapt that plan when he also got Keleseth.

I was thinking the same thing; I think maybe Kibs wanted both buffs up before drawing into new card, the macawing for the 3rd instead of 2nd

This might just be me being stupid But doesn't it make sense to play the Macaw before the snapdragon. Because +1hp and buffs non-battlecrys? Or am I misunderstanding how Kele/Macaw works?

@@dancingmathusalem5451 with the hand he had and the minions in his deck he absolutely did. There aren't any better battlecrys is in deck than keleseth it's literally the entire point of his deck, to buff all of his minions and just out value the opponent with 4 mana for 2 5/6s with taunt for example. Especially when the opponent is playing paladin you really want to have minions on the board anyway, so playing it as soon as possible with the better battlecry is just better than saving it for 1 turn for a worse battlecry. It's not a huge deal, but it's undeniable that at that point in the game all he did was get a copy of the 2nd best battlecry in his deck rather than the best.

I think that scale should be legendary or removed from the game, it's always so unfun to watch and play, if that card doesn't exist the power spike of druid ramp will go down considerably

Maybe not the best mechanics to mix (evolve and buff). You are buffing your minions to then evolve them? Pretty fun deck though, seems to use both mechanics well if played right. Loving the frozen throne content btw!

I assume it's because of redundancy. You notice he only runs 4 cards from the evolve package. So if he doesn't hit them he is likely to hit the buff cards and vice versa. So cards like chain gang are always good. But yes, it is rather counterintuitive.
