"Good" also means "satisfied", and control warrior already has a full mage-killing kit replete with burst combos, dörty rat brawls, high-threat minions, and a button that gives them free un-Alexable HP. The new bolvar doesn't say when in hand. You have to play it onto the battlefield to get buffs on it, and because it has divine shield it is closer to a 5m 3/7, although really more of a 2.3/7

New Bolvar is definitely better than old Bolvar. Particularly in a Steed meta. 5 Mana 1/7 Divine Shield (possibly 3/7) going into Steed turn isn't terrible. He also gains attack on the board. Also has Divine Shield on himself (which means he buffs himself). And yes, he may not fit in any deck. But he's miles better than old Bolvar.

What Kripp forgot about Bolvar … Midrange and Control Paladin plays almost no 5 drops. But a strong 5 drop is important. If you can get Bolvar stick on the board (and it will most likely) you'll get a 3/13 Taunt, Divine Shield, Deathrattle summon a 2/6 and gain attack when a friendly minion loses divine shield. Spikered Steed single handed beats aggro decks … on this minion it destroys them.

I think you misunderstood the new Bolvar, what I can tell from comparing the cardtext from the older Bolvar to the new one is, that the new doesn't fulfil its requirement as it is in your hand. So, what this means is, he get's +2 Attack every time a Divine Shield is destroyed while he is ON THE BOARD, not in your hand (Bolvar Fordragon especially reads "...while this is in your hand...". This effect includes his own Divine Shield to activate the effect, means he is at least 3/7 at the second attack when not silenced or debuffed in other manners. Have a nice day!

Bolvar and the one cost adapt card. Gets spell immunity and has divine shield to deal with minions or board clear. Requires two cards but only requires turn 6 and both are easy to establish. Win game by turn 7.

If so without the opponent having removal or silence (in best cases) he would act similar to a taunt as in you'll wanna get rid of him first.. playing a deck with divine shield would make this card so problematic for the opponent.. definitely getting excited for this new expansion!

Hadronox is insane with naturalize. You get your enemy closer to fatigue and summon a very defensive board. Works great aginst Aggro and Control. Just nice.

I don't think Bolvar will trigger in the hand. It doesn't say anything about being in the hand. I think it only works when he's in play. It also doesn't say for each divine shield lost this game, so it doesn't seem like a fully static effect.

Bring it on is pretty Good against Aggro. If you can heal for Ten in turn 4 or 5 when your opponent can play his entire hand either way it will hugely benefit you.

i dont think that bolvar is that bad when the deck works, because often enough it will survive the turn you play it and can be followed up with spikeridged, so you get more time to pop some divine shields

Here's my two cents on the cards here: Bring it on: change it to decrease enemy mana cost by 1, and maybe add card draw. Voodoo hexxer: buff stats af, maybe to a 3/7, then add overload. Bearshark: buff health. Hadronox: this might be much better as a warrior card, and they need to reduce its health and increase attack. Abominable Bowman: reduce health, then increase attack. Or maybe, change it to summon two beasts. Fatespinner: dayum, that's a fine card. Bonemare: maybe reduce mana cost. Corpsetaker: very powerful. (But does it tick on poisonous and stealth and all that shit?) Light's Sorrow: I mean, it gets combos with blood knight. Bolvar, Fireblood: KRIPP YOU MUPPET THIS BOLVAR ONLY WORK WHEN ITS *ON THE BOARD*

Well Bretons are an entire set of cards printed around the mechanic of gaining and losing Ward(Divine Shield in HS) in Elder Scrolls Legends but the effect is inconsistent there and I can bet it will be incosistent in Heartstone aswell.

You know what I just found out? Taunt Warrior is actually really insane right now. Seriously I decided to play the deck just for fun the other day, never having played it before and wrecked my way from rank 15-6 in a few hours with only two losses. The only reason I can think of that people stopped playing this deck is because it was weak to quest rogue, but quest rogue is gone from the meta because of the nerf.

Bolvar Fordragon was my first Legendary. I got him for 4 years and I'm not 100% sure but I think I had him 4 times in my deck and one of those 4 was 1 Tavern Brawl. He's really bad

Bring It On into Brawl sounds good. Or why not into Whirlwind+King Mosh? Sleep with the Fishes? Etc. etc. basically, lower your opponents hand cost and then wreck them. With Dirty Rats you could potentially empty your opponents hand faster and use the Hog minion that gets Charge from an empty hand. Professor Putricide with the Hunter card that reduces Secrets to (0)? Turn 3, play the Secret reducer (I don't remember the name). Turn 4, Putricide, you can now play on RNG and potentially get 4 secrets for 2 secrets. That's 4 cards played with 6 card value. RNG because if Putricide randomly creates the Secret in your hand you'd only get 5 card value from 4 cards. Leeching Poison, seems like it could be useful to get back in the game again. Healing power between 1-40 (low range is 1 hit, regular dagger getting removed after 1 turn, and high range/dream is with Assassin's Blade 3/4+3 pirate buffs+Deadly Poison=10 Damage/Lifesteal a hit, 4 hits). The only thing I'm wondering about Lifesteal is whether it will allow you to go below 0. Say I have 2 Health left, and the opponent has a 4/4 minion on the board. If I have a 4 damage weapon with Lifesteal, could I go to -2 and then go up to +2 and still be in the game or would it be a loss the moment I hit 0? How does Mistress of Mixtures work in similar situations? (Let's say I have 5 Health, Mistress on board, and Felfire Potion is played. Do I end up with 4 Health or dead?) Hadronox is super powerful as long as it doesn't get silenced. Druid has some of the strongest Taunt minions. Corpsetaker sounds strong and fun. Just a bit unthematic imo. It should've either removed those cards from the deck when you play it, or those types of minions with those effects would've had to die on board to give those effects. Nothing wrong with the card, just thoughts on the name of the card (Corpse and Taker). Unless Blizzard considers cards in your deck to be corpses :P New Bolvar plus the weapon card seems to imply Divine Shield Paladin returning. Blood Knight could make your weapon get a burst of power. The dream being a 6/4 weapon that doesn't get removed (Slow version though). Next cards I'm hoping for is some Warlock cards that allow you to choose your Discard cards. Maybe a minion "When this is in play, you get to choose your discards" or something. Or maybe something like Embrace the Shadows, Lock and Load, Stampede, but for Discard cards only "You may choose what to Discard until end of turn" type of thing.

Leech + Blade Flurry is like a weaker Hazzazeal heal, for 1 more card, but instead of being overloaded for 2-5 mana the turn after, you pay 2-5 prior for the weapon that gets destroyed.

Cards like that only resummon cards that have taunt naturally, buffing a card won't affect it getting summoned (conversely silencing a taunt will not prevent it from getting summond).

Bolvar will deal at least 4 damage when trading, because it gains attack when it loses it's own shield. a 5 drop 4/7 with divine shield isn't bad at all. dodges fireball, at the very least.

that's fair. but it's not really a 3/7 because its a divine shield. its more like 3/7+X, where X is the first instance of damage. if you put it behind strong paladin taunts that have divine shield like tirion and the 3 mana 2/2, it's actually even stronger than i originally indicated. you only have to get the effect off once before the shield is popped for it to easily be worth 6 mana (its 5), and worse case scenario its probably valued at 4 & 1/2 mana (sans silence/transform effects)

I still messed up a bit in my explanation, but I honestly think this card is being under-rated. I could be wrong, but it seems like a card that is easily 5 stars in a dedicated deck.

I seems so, as it doesn't say; "When **another** friendly minion loses Divine Shield" but rather when "a friendly". I mean, if you manage to play 2-3 Divine Shield minions on the turns before and not pop them, and then play Bolvar and trade with said minions. Then you can in theory play a (5) Mana - 5/7 with Divine Shield that can grow quickly.

The druid legendary could be played at turn 10 with the quest so you could summon few heavy taunt minions with 5 or more attack and potentially complete the quest. Yeah,I opened the quest and didn't dust it,I still hope.

Bonemare just seems way to strong to me. It is not comparable to Bog Creeper, Bog cannot give 4/4 of its attack/def as charge Kripp, and it also more stats on top of that.

it does not, the same way poisoned weapon doesn't work with blade flurry. And i'd argue it does matter. If you could heal to full health in rogue while clearing the board it would be strong enough to consider playing those cards.
