killing imp would have been a priority so he didn't draw for each of those leaving him 1 card unless he had damage in hand. druid still should have done it but it wasn't a 100% chance given the info we have.

I don't think you should run Howlfiend in this deck for that exact reason, the two or three games I've played against this deck I was just able to finish the quest for the opponent then have them discard portal, at that point they pretty much just conceded

Micah Bell mollusk did have damage in hand, he had a wrath (weaker board because no violet teacher, and is heavily punished by kibler having a clutchmother) but it was strange that Druid didn't even seem to consider it as a possibility

At that point Kibler had a card that drew for each discard. So the odds would've been 50/50 at best, playing the turn correctly. At worst 1/4 odds though. He needed one minion to kill the imp, then he had two that could attack, plus hero power. With 3 cards in hand, Kibler would have discarded 2 of them, gotten the quest, then it would've been a coin flip whether or not the quest would be discarded. The opponent should've gone for it that's for sure, but to say that he could've discarded the quest, while true, it wasn't guaranteed to work. Unless I'm missing something here. If he had a damage spell, he should've gone for it instead of the Violet Teacher play. Power of the Wild was necessary to kill the imp though.

kibler's quest was at 5/6 at that time, only 1 discard was required to activate the quest, meaning he had two chances to discard the quest...

saoud hamza legends are good players most of the time... But then we have druid legends of this meta, they are so weak when properly countered and usually just garbage players who know nothing of the matchup , but only know how to get value out of ultimate infestation...

Abderrahmane Awçalla never was that much harder. in the past, the opposition was even easier to fight and the decks easier to navigate as they were face decks. lots of folks without good collections as well. even if time want a factor a lot of people would never reach legend, but for now time has always been the number one determinant of success of course I can't imagine a person who didn't have enough time to hit legend to have the experience to actually reach and hold the top 100. if you want to actually find the good players, that's your first stop.

i mean it depends on where in legend they are anyone can get hot its happened in magic tournaments. you have to have a little skill but you dont have to a mad genius also it doesnt take that long to get to legend if you are actually good. it shouldnt take you more than 29 hours of playing a reasonable deck.if you are playing quest mage or dead man warrior thats a different story. getting to legend isnt hard but being high legend is a big deal.

He would have had to kill it first, which would have left Kibler with 1 card, which could be the portal. this also assumes that Kibler wasn't lucky enough to have Clutchmother in hand. The Druid might have just been feeling unlucky, or got a false read on Kibler having Clutchmother.

Druid made a huge misplay he should have killed Imp then ran into the howlfiends 3 times giving him a huge chance to discard the quest reward and if he had an extra damage source in hand he could have discard the quest for sure

thats not how that works. he was talking about the cards in the deck and what the deck is trying to do. the deck is a worse midrange hunter that instead of the DK you have lakkari's sacrifice to help against the value games against druid and priest. the cards is the second best card in the deck next to imp. but thats probably why you are super bad at the game you look to make a joke instead of look at the content and learn from it.

This deck is actually really cool! I like it! Was thinking, maybe 1 treachery somewhere, or maybe 1 of that card that makes end of turn effects trigger twice in case you have a small board with nothing and just a finished quest? Summon 4 imps a turn could be your board alone at that point to grind your opponent of resources.. but hey.. the dinomancers were pretty clutch this game summoning your 9/6 lifesteal legendary! Good stuff!

Not really while the discard mechanic is interesting it's nearly impossible to make a deck with it as its core mechanic. I think it could work if they gave you more control over your discards or release some new warlock cards that have the ability "This card cannot be Discarded" but otherwise it's too unpredictable to rely on for competitive play. At the moment I think the quest is only good as an alternative win condition (like having just deathwing and doomguards to trigger the quest lategame) but not the backbone of a deck.

FunkyDrummer No one ever said the reward was bad, just that it takes too much effort to get it, and it's slow. Even against Mage, who has great aoe, if the quest eats a blizzard and a flamestrike, that's Lanathel and Clutch Mother who aren't being hit by those aoe.

Spreading Plague is not even that OP. It punishes players for flooding the board instead of playing on curve with a complement of spells.

Stephen Dias generating 20 extra health in one turn isn't particularly balanced. It's pretty unlikely you have a board of all 5 attack or greater minions, so generally one or more scarabs survive, giving druid a chance to buff them on curve with the card. Because of this card and ui, druids are able to ramp recklessly and nourish for mana without even thinking about it because these cards respectively compensate for playing behind on board and using cards inefficiently.
