Rat trap was seeing play before Boomsday in Spell Hunter, maybe not on the meta decklist sites but a lot of streamers included it. And I opened a golden Subject 9, thank RNGesus that I held on!

My free golden legendary was subject 9! Have still yet to use it. One very important lesson which is actually very difficult to accept is that you should never dust legendaries or epics. Any card which you think can't in any situation ever be good can easily end up being at the top of the meta, and there's no way you can ever guess that that would happen. See skull of the manari, umbra, togwaggle, azalina, princes keleseth and taldaram, and countless other examples from history. After I unpacked taldaram, dusted him, then crafted him when I really wanted him for my cubelock, I finally learned to stop dusting expensive cards. It's hard but worth it if you can afford to stop dusting.

At the time I thought the same thing that the +3 attack was better if only due to it making it harder for his opponent to trade into the minion without losing one of his own. Since the minion had charge it seemed like it was an extra 3 attack either way so why not be a little better on defense since his opponent did have minions on the board to potentially use to trade

+3 attack is just better then windfury 13:30 same amount of face damage but higher attack stat on your minion. Kibler had no way of buiffing the minion so +3 attack would have been better to make sure the twighlight drake would die attacking into it

If he was trading yeah sure, but since he went smorc it doesn't matter what he chooses since it would have been the same 6 damage to face. Especially since the opponent could have pinged it next turn no matter what he chooses there.

He has a way to buff it later if he zombeast minion with adapt friendly beast, give beast +1 attack, or just give minion next to it +1 attack, etc.. Most of them works better with windfury
