Not all the games he played were shown, and it did really badly 1 of the times it was shown. The idea is probably that it's an unnecessary win more card against control, and it sucks in aggro matchups since you usually won't be ahead enough on board for it to be more than a 3 mana 3/3 (which is super bad).

This is a video of highlights, and Vicious Fledgling is a highlight card because it can solo-carry a game. It's not great in constructed, however, because it's so easy for almost any class to shut down in any match-up. It's disgusting in arena, however. It's still easy to shut-down there, but it's a 1 card win-condition without much risk.

What is it being compared to? People always say '3 mana 3/3 = terrible' or whatever mana card, and then they don't offer alternatives. WHY is a 3 mana 3/3 terrible? What is better than it in the same mana slot?

it is the stats. a plain 3 mana cost minion should have at least 3/4 or 4/3 stats. and of course people don't play plain card in competitive scene nowadays. check violet illusionist for comparison, looks better but also see no play

I run Runt instead of Kindly Grandmother in my midrange hunter because I don't have Khara.( LUL ) It's not the best card in the world, neither it's the worst. It's so painfully average that I'm not surprised it sees like no constructed play.

Edzter runt is quite strong in fact basicaly all the options make it a good 2 mana card or a good 3 mana card fledgelijg is a highlight card that can highroll if un answered both are good but fledgeling requires a turn to be broken while runt does not honstly there is room for both in aggro druid depends on the person who builds the deck.

I run almost this same deck I just don't run hungry crab or bloodsail. Cuz I do t have the dust. I use the pirate eating crab and deck hand instead. This deck got me to 5. It was easy fast climbing 20-7. You usually win by turn 7 so it's great for quick climb through the trash players until you need a more reliable deck when you face better players.

Trump i understand that just because something works does not mean its good but is vicious fledgling really bad, i demands an answer and can have a huge payoff. I'm still not up to date with the meta or hearthstone in general though so if you could explain why its bad/what its bad against id understand your choice a bit more.

It's just a worse dragon hawk rider a lot of the time (3/3 inspire windfury) and dragonhawk rider never really saw play outside of arena. Sometimes it swings for the fences and carries a game all by itself but it's way too inconsistent and easy to answer.

How's it worse than dragon hawk rider exactly? Both are 3/3 the turn they enter play and this one doesn't require you to make a low tempo play just to have windfury. Even if it doesn't get windfury, it can still be upgraded to a 3 mana 3/6, 4/4, deathrattle summon 2 1/1s and that pretty good.

While the card isn't great, it's literally impossible for it to ever be worse than dragon hawk rider. if you play it and it doesn't get to attack, it's exactly as good (since, if neither attack, they are both 3/3 vanilla in effect). However, if it hits, even hitting and then taking the stealth, or poisonous, or shroud effects make it better than dragonhawk rider, in part because they are free and not 2 mana every turn you want to use them. It's not great, but it's certainly not as bad as you make it seem. goodness.

Presumably you're putting this thing in your deck for purposes of aggro, dragonhawk rider has windfury 100% of the time you want it to while this gives you things that are pretty useless, like shroud, because if it's not dead by the time it attacks that means your opponent doesn't have an answer. Unless you've already got windfury the attack buff does little and in some cases is actually detrimental, health is okay but again you're trying to be aggressive, etc etc.

I didn't get the last play. Trade against the raven, the 2/2 that spawns the 1/1s, and kill the 1/1s, deal 3 to the face. Savage roar is not letal for him, and he needs to trade or dies to lethal on board

Alex Unruh if you have karazhan then mindrange hunter and secret mage are amazing both cost around 2000 if you dont have karazan then midrange hunter could run something else over kindly grandmother but the deck will ve weaker other cheapish decks are pirate aggro warrior it has zero cards from ungoro and is about 5000 dust quest rogue is pretty tho with out swashburgler is a little weaker it costs about 4200 dust

Vicious Fledgling would've been amazing as a 3/4. I like cards like that, that are crazy if left unanswered, as long as they're not 1 or 2 mana, like pre-nerf Small-Time Buccaneer. That much power should only be on higher cost cards. Deciding a game one turn 1 is BS.
