Kibler is a fan of cool decks and he finds, generally speaking, control decks the coolest but that's because he builds weird things. Rush warrior ain't common and it's a neat deck to see how he built it. Furthermore any meta where there's an abundance of control decks with combo-finishers in them is a meta that Kibler despises. (He's said again and again that he no like combo decks; neither in Hearthstone nor in MTG - he's even made a lot of claims over the years that they are detrimental to the game's well being, completely ignoring why they exist in the first place). To summarize: Meh', Kibler is a Johnny-Spike player... but a Spike player never the less how weird his decks are.

@@ArgentumEmperio Yeah, I've been following his Hearthstone content for a few years now. It's still a testament to how combo-heavy the meta is that he chose to play such an aggressive deck over the more value-oriented ones he usually plays. Even when his aggro deck is still unusual. And I like this deck too( well, looking at it at least, I lack some cards to play it myself) :)

The combo decks in previous expansions were fine cause dirty rat disrupted basically all of them, but there's no real equivalent now aside from the always present option of just building a deck to kill your opponent before they get too many turns.

Oh, how the times change. A year or two ago, aggro and face decks were everywhere and loathed, and I was longing for the return of flashy wombo-combo decks and control decks and long-game matches. Today, I am sick, from my head to my bowels, of no-skill wombo-combos that win the game when you have all the pieces, and control decks that drag like the second act of a painfully mediocre movie. It is a breath of pine-scented air to see a SMORC deck tear into faces over and over, until the ladder is covered with shreds of cheeks, lips, and noses.

I mean almost all barring ashmore are staples. Zilliax and lich king have been staples in almost EVERY class since they came out. Gromm has been a warrior staple forever. Darius has also seen play since he came out if you included rush.
