this tavern brawl was actually more fun than constructed because a lot of the super broken staple cards that are in each of the constructed lists were taken out (no brawl in warrior, no 4 mana 7/7 in shaman, etc). it was like i was playing what the game was intended to be, a board control centered game with big, flashy win conditions and a bit of rng to spice things up in a way other card games can't. also rogue was top tier and that's my favorite class

IMO this TB blew. I chose Mage which means you are playing Yogg. I love Yogg and have a Yogg deck for every class. However I immediately noticed that the TB Mage deck is one shitty Yogg deck... before long I was wishing I could play my own mage Yogg deck. Finally squeaked out a win, got my free pack, and that's the end of this TB for me. Best TB's I've seen so far were the "your deck is just two cards" brawl and the "start with 10 mana" brawl. Loved the 10 mana brawl. For a brief shining moment I was awesome... I played 61 games and won 50 of them. Never experienced anything like that before or since. Most TB's I play only until I score the free pack.

For 10 mana brawl, I've bought expansions but nothing else. I just played a priest with removal and stealing, and had like a 70% winrate. If you didn't like the mech hunter thing, play elemental destruction volcanic drake, or innervate yogg. The fun was crushing the tavern brawl net decks.

The upside to this tavern brawl is you see a more diverse spread of decks. Ironic, given there are only nine decks compared to the limitless possible in ranked. Says a lot about how shit ranked really is.

Adrian Alexander Veidt Well, you see any deck with 51% or higher winrate at leend to some degree, but compared to C'thun Warrior, C'Thun Druid, and Zoo, you really do not see it too much. For for why it is played...it is played for the same reason face hunter used to be a tier 1 deck.

Tavern brawl was not a reminder of Whispers. It was an attempt to pick up after purify. Blizzard was all like: "Hey, look, we can make decks, kinda... We play the game, kinda... We know what we are doing, kinda... Right?"

XD Fa Mulan Yes, but with so many decent MMOs out there nowadays, being decent is not enough. WoW got big on the back of being the only decent MMO in existence at the time. Now to succeed, you need to offer something new or interesting. This expansion added a lot, but once the new and interesting things are done, people will move on. While this seems fine at first glance, it is subscriptions that keep WoW profitable. The original sales from the expansion just pay for the dev time for the expansion and maybe a few months of server time. In the coming years, I see WoW going f2p in a desperate move to survive. It will be interesting to see if it can. :)

Zoo is the warlock deck. They support it. The same goes for C'thun warrior, the most common warrior deck on ladder. I am guessing you do not play ranked...

I admit I don't play ranked much, but from all the stories I heard, I know roughly what it's like.I know Blizzard pushed Zoo Warlock, but I don't think they expected Zoo to be quite this powerful or dominant.C'Thun Warrior is only one of the warrior decks that's in play and it's probably the fairest one. Don't forget that there are still Tempo Warrior, Pirate Warrior and Fac-er, I mean Dragon Warrior decks out there as well.And there's still the issue with Shaman getting Four Mana Seven-Sevens.

sorry guys but I have to share this RNG moment There I was playing Dragon Priest against a mage, I was in a good position I got 3 minions on board and he had 3 health and a secret, I tried to lethal but it was Ice Block, ok then. On his turn he Yoggs with 9 cards left on his deck. So a mage with 3 health and 9 cards Yooged and survived, that's lucky enough I guess. During the speel estravaganza that's Yogg he corrupted one of my minions, gets a burgle and got 2 secrets. During my turn I attack, one of the secrest activates is misdirect, killing 2 of my minions and then I attack with the f*cking remaining one, HE GOT ANOTHER ICE BLOCK and now my side is empty. Well ok I guess he's still at 3 health and mage has no healing other than Reno so I might still win, then... HE BURGLED A F*CKING PRIEST OF THE FEAST, A CARD THAT HAS LITTERALY JUST BEEN ADDED AND I'M NOT EVEN SURE IF YOU CAN LEGGALY COLLECT YET and heals back to 9 making me lose the game

Played a mage v mage game, where we both had a 10-ish Yogg. Mine was first and it copied itself with Echo, then cleared my opponent's board, before drawing me some cards and buffing itself with around +10/+10 and shielding itself. Then my opponent responded with his own Yogg, which emptied his hand, buffed MY Yogg even more before finally committing suicide via extremely horrible death(aka two PO's on itself)

I don't think blizz is trying to push control meta at all. Why I do not know but it wouldn't be that hard. Drop councilman health to 4 , make gang boss a 2/3 and nerf PO to +3/3. Maybe not all of it but at least two of those. Make Trogg get one attack per overload card played instead of mana crystal , remove totem tag from totem Golem and increase Thing from below mana cost by 1 and perhaps make 4 mana 7/7 a 4 mana 7/6. Once again maybe not all of those nerfs but at least two of them. Last make doomhammer to do one less damage per attack to enemy hero , so it does 1 damage per hit and with rockbitter 4 damage per hit. That way it can still be used to control board with it and attack with minions and not just to smorc it.

Kevin Kalbermatten It doesn't exist, that is just a joke. Ben Brode said something like "maybe a good priest deck hasn't been found yet" multiple times, insinuating that the class if fine, but the players just suck. Instead of taking offense, people just trolled it, saying that brode has a super secret unicorn priest(as in, it doesn't really exist, like unicorns). Basically Brode thinks the class is fine, but has a high skill cap compared to other decks, which is hilariously wrong. Sure, skill will win at the end of the day, but the other classes have better tools to showcase their skill... Priest is good... vs control... well, non-warrior control... but finding non-warrior control in current meta is even harder to find than a unicorn.
