yeah ik He got lucky that the priest played the Lich King card instead of Shadowreaver Anduin. Imagine that the priest kills his board, doesn't discard 6 cards, and then has a hero power that steadily deals damage each turn. That's a much different result.

Well, he most likely knew he his deck was not going to win. Kripp could get at least 90+ armor from that board, which meant he had to have an insanely greedy deck or an Exodia Combo-finisher, which Druids don't have at all.

Why would you ever pick public defender over doomsayer in a control deck? Doomsayer is almost like a taunt, I think it would be better, f.e. in the second game

lothar krüger versability. Doomsayer can only clean and is a dead card whet you have board you want preserved. Also with fishy whirlwind aoe crap you dont need doomsayer to kill all agro on turn 3, you can clean it with aoe when opponent played more minions. Also taunt can counter lethal.

tl;dr: Doomsayer is anti-synergy with 1 damage AoE whirlwind effects. You want your minions ALIVE, not dead. A 7 health taunt helps x10 times better in this deck than a doomsayer.

how is it relevant? Simply put, it is a card for a specific deck type that is inferior to other classes of that similar type. It makes good memes though. Which is good enough. For a 2 star card (if we are generous, and i say let us be generous!).
