My priest deck basically just relies on lackeys, mind vision, galakrond invokes, and buffing up the convincing infiltrators along with insta-kill spells for strong/weak enemies. I have no good cards so my entire strategy hinges on taking other people's good cards, deleting them whenever they are actually played, or mind controlling them once they are mega-buffed. I put my faith in RNGesus.

I've been playing galakrond warlock. Trump (The hearthstone youtuber) said that galakrond warlock only works in an aggro setup. I've been playing it all day. my twist....DRAGONS. I'm playing it like a control deck and I run a lot of cards that draw and add resources to my hand. It's a great deck and would love to see you play some more warlock, hunter, or paladin. Happy Holidays Kibler, Best wishes from Justin Scott

Is it just me or is this expansion really expensive dust wise? These decks require a lot imo... I even got the pre release but I feel so behind.
@ArgentumEmperio4 жыл бұрын
I mean any Galakrond deck will at most cost you 280 dust unless you try to optimize the decks. At that point though you aren't looking to play a deck but rather be competitive with a deck. Makes for a world of difference. Generally speaking though, the last expansion of any year (both in HS and other cardgames) will be the most expensive. This is due to the large pool of cards available and optimization often driving only the best of the best cards to be played which generally means that you'll find the most epics and legendaries (not rares funnily enough) to be present in any number of decks.
@TheSquareOnes4 жыл бұрын
It does seem like there are a bit more epics and legendaries that are extremely powerful this time around, so there are probably going to be quite a few decks floating around that are expensive to craft. That being said shaman's Galakrond is arguably the strongest card in the entire set and it is literally free so I don't think anyone could realistically make an argument that this expansion is pay-to-win, we'll see how the nerfs change things but at the moment you can easily be in the running for #1 legend without breaking the bank.
@SomersBugtopia4 жыл бұрын
Yup. Even the cheaper decks are usually in need of a few new legendaries and all the new packages are unusually expensive.

Welcome to how Blizzard balances priest, they screw over all the fun control/value strategies because they want priest to become a combo deck. All the while giving priest no new mechanics and no new interesting ways to leverage their bad hero power.

@@jyak1747 Not to mention removing their one good combo dps card Mind Blast
@ArgentumEmperio4 жыл бұрын
There's always stronger and weaker decks. Priest have done admirable the past few expansions but no breakout success that's true. This deck being on the weaker side doesn't mean anything in particular. Not to mention that this is only with the focus set on standard where as in wild, the results differ by a lot. Point is that this is not more or less sad now than any other time folks spend their time meming about how one particular class is the worst. There's ALWAYS better and worse decks out there. Simple as that.
@rastrisfrustreslosgomez5444 жыл бұрын
Not to mention better or worse is terribly subjective. Average winrate means very little when the sample population differs so much, I'm pretty sure the average winrate of BK with this deck is higher than the average 55% of common mortals playing shaman
@jyak17474 жыл бұрын
@@ArgentumEmperio I don't think you understand my meaning. Priest did alright because of 2 decks, Combo priest with divine spirit and inner fire plays and Rez priest, only due to the wild cards coming back into rotation. Blizzard have failed extraordinarily badly when balancing priest. Priest has only gotten cards that see no play or play all the time, the only time this was not the case was back in highlander priest. All the cards Blizzard tries to print for Priest only make the class either horrible to play or horrible to play against. Almost all priest cards are gimmicks, to a degree far more than any other class. An instead of using those gimmicks in new and interesting ways (Maybe give priest more ways to leverage their healing or reasons to steal cards like rogue has), they don't develop them at all leaving inner fire priest as the last developed play pattern for priest. Control was there until mind blast was Hall of Famed, and Resurrect priest was only possibly due to Nzoth and the other Wild card that were returned. Sorry about the rant, but how well a single deck does in ladder/play does not signify the health or good design of the class.
