I always assume they just ranked up with a regular netdeck and then just decided to switch up for a little while, just for shits and giggles. And hey, like Trump is proving here and based on my own experiences, netdecks don't always beat those 'worse' decks. I lose those games too. Perhaps not as often, but I lose some of those too.

The only differences between his deck and the normal control priests out there are Tigers instead of Belchers and MCT + MC instead of Sylvanas and Ysera, which in many cases actually turns out better. It's not like he's getting legend with Bloodfen Raptors here.

Trump knows every popular deck and its cards, up to the point where he can deduce the opponent's deck by turn 2. He can predict what minions he can expect and use strategy according to that (i.e. waiting for Ysera with Shrink+Cabal). He can predict what minions could drop from random effects, like Shredder, by their mana costs. And he knows what ways of removal certain decks have. And beside these, he has learned to keep track of the opponent's hand just by memorising how many cards he changed, which cards he doesn't use, how many spare parts he has or where duplicate/echo minions are kept. And this is what commenters here usually don't understand. This kind of knowledge doesn't come easily. It probably takes a shitload of time to learn. New players simply cannot be on this level for a very long time, no matter how good they are.

This is exactly why this F2P run is slightly overrated. It's awesome that he's doing it, but it proves absolutely nothing about hearthstone not being P2W game. If you start off new, you can grind it get cards for a VERY long time, never reaching the ranks trump can reach, or you can buy cards and get there a lot more easily. Although I do find it amazing how much further trump gets than me being in the same position as him, even though I like to think I'm pretty competent at predicting future turns and what not

God Sloth Exactly, but it is fun, as long as he doesn't get the Adventure cards. No doubt he could earn enough Gold for them within a week, but it would ruin the whole idea. We could watch him play those on his regular account. And it would probably be a challenge to reach Legend with vanilla cards for him as well.

God Sloth It's because he plays constantly. The skill cap on this game is low. You could do just as well if you put forth the time. The game was p2w from day one. The main problem is people don't even understand what p2w means, or they white knight and twist it to mean something so outlandish it basically doesn't exist. P2W = Pay for an advantage! If you win an extra 0,0001% of games because you threw money at the game, then you paid to gain an advantage and win a matchup you wouldn't have otherwise won. Back at the start of HS rush decks didn't have the insane tools they do now. It wasn't enough to carry people without cards to higher ranks. People threw down a huge ass legendary, and you either had an answer or you ate a dick. Getting legend is a meaningless title. Trump might get to legend with that priest deck at the very end of the season, but I doubt it, and if he can it will be at the very end of the season when you can hit legend with almost anything. Furthermore, after he gets there he won't have any decent cards left. He will have de'd them all for the priest deck. How long could you stomach playing the same mediocre deck? Slowly improving it to copy the real netdeck....

It's kind of amazing how oldschool healing/control Priest is able to hold up against all these new meta decks. I'm too new to have even heard of this kind of deck or ever seen it, and it still is able to get someone to the single digit rankings. I honestly wonder if this is because it is really this good, or people abandoned it so long ago that they forgot about it and how to beat it.

you dont since they use their combo in the late game and the circles and auchenai would be "dead cards" until then and you wont have anything to pressure them early on just mulligan for the nortshire and keep your carddraw up when he starts his combo you can use your lightbombs and finish him after that

+SuperSymn It's certainly one way to win. Watching the way trump played it I'm not sure that way can ever work. Assuming the opponent doesn't misplay hard then the echo mage should theoretically have enough removal that you'll never be able to do enough damage to kill him without him filling a board of giants and rolling over you. It's tough to say though because there's so many different lines of play. Maybe if trump had drawn a bit less it allows him to take little enough fatigue to play with the opponents health more and let the fatigue build up a bit more but even then it feels like your board either wont be big enough or they get all their giants out with taunt and stop you doing it. Double circling their giants certainly seems like a way to win since you instantly take out their win condition and the focal point of their deck. It doesn't seem like a noob question at all, it seems like you thought about the game and came up with a way to win a tough match up.

He can still play constructed and arena if he chooses too, but he hasn't done any of that apart from a couple of arena runs this month. I get that he's aiming as high as possible with this f2p, and that he has to do this withing a month for it to work, but still I'm a bit disappointed :P

laolqe roobow He's already gotten to Legend on his main, and this is the one season you don't have to worry about QPs, as far as I know. Most are already struggling to hit Legend playing their Tier 1/2 decks frequently, and it's only harder for Trump. I too would love new content (I usually only watch the Arena Rewards and such) but it isn't too feasible.

Its called Echo-Mage. They use echo of mediv to get more molten Giants, they can have games with 4 taunted. You can watch MasSanSC, he plays it a lot.

If you play it correctly it's pretty easy to make it so they die to fatigue the turn after they play their moltens. Exactly what trump was trying to do, but the frost giant took too much of his board, so he didn't have enough burst on the turn when he needed it.

Personally found stealing the Alex was a misplay as you could have deathed it and then effigy coulda triggered and then a Malygos or Ysera could've been created if you were lucky and then you could coin shrinkmeister and cobal. But if it weren't Ysera or Maly then you would've had to waste your last Death and you wouldn't have been able to steal a Ysera that he played so your play was definetly good,

well I'm no expert but I feel like one line of play would have been to use the Holy Nova at 9:15 instead of Circle of Healing and then you would have two Circles with Auchenai later to clear the giants, maybe even bait them out early and still have fighting power afterward.

The shaman at the end was just wasting time. People need to learn when to GG and concede. Too many players waste time continuing games they can't possibly win. If you're out of cards, have no board, and the opponent has plenty of both, hit that concede button and move on.

Honestly I don't like facing off against the echo mage. It's not impossible to win, pretty easy sometimes even. It's just boring to watch some idiot count his cards while I just sit there waiting. Hunter/mech mage is really frustrating some games, but at least they end, by like turn 7. Echo mage wants to just drag out the game so that you concede out of boredom.
