That, and being stuck with a full board of 1/1s waiting for pyro clear (knew that was coming, but couldn't remove my own stuff for room either) and the miracle burst finish (that I wasn't expecting at all).

Ironically Trumps free-to-play run demonstrates just how negative of an impact the adventures have on people not willing to shovel up the money. 700 gold per wing is ridiculous. Even playing as constantly as trump dous and as well a he dous he estimates a month to get black rock mountain. You can only imagine how long it would take a regular Hearthstone player. Hearthstone always skirted the line between a pay-2-win and a pay-2-proceed-faster. But between indications by the devs that objective power creep of cards is ok to them and the increasing amount of essential cards that for all intents and purposes are locked behind the pay-wall that is adventures, hearthstone may end up losing its attractiveness to new players due to its accessibility by making new players feel so much worse off that they decide not to bother trying. Their is a line between providing incentive for players to pay to go faster and straight up requiring them to either give up the cash or grind for literal months to even begin to level the playing field.

+HardlyGoodGamer In real life 1 pretty darn good card will run you about $3-$5 in real life card games. Now usually those games let you have 3-4 copies of those cards with 40 card decks. That's about $120-$200 Now that is just the "good" cards in the deck not counting the OMG this card is so broken cards which can be like $10-$30 EACH!!! Let's take Black Rock Mountain cards that I've seen be useful in decks which has Blackwing Techninian x2, Blackwing Corruptor x2, Grimm Patron x2, Emperor Thurasan, Chromagus, Nefarian, Druid of the Flame x2, Quick Shot x2, Flame Waker x2, Twilight Welp x2, Resurrect x2, Fire Gaurd Destoryer x2, Lava Shock x2, Imp Gang Boss x2, Going with $3 per card that is 25 cards it's about a $75 value looking at real life card games.

Grim patron is a really cheap Deck except for deaths bite but easily able to get to legend and midrange/face hunter are some of the cheapest decks, except for quick shot and can easily swap dr boom for war golem. Jokes but very cheap decks and easy to get to legend without needing to pay

Chance of getting a legendary is pretty much 1/500 I got 2 and I have been playing for a year and opens over 2k packs. But I did craft 3 golden legendary

I've only been playing for a few months, but I can't seem to get past rank 13. It's around there that I start running into everyone having the perfect deck with all parts of the puzzle, Sylvannas, Dr Boom, Ragnaros, Alex, Antonidas you name it, they've got it. Combine that with my awful card draw luck for opening hands and you have a recipe for a 5-6 loss streak where I fall back a few ranks. It's like the game is out to make me spend money. I refuse. I spent some on getting Naxx and won't spend more. I get to rank 13, then the game is like, oh, you will draw 5+ cost cards for your opening hand for the next 5 games, you will get Captain's Parrot for every shredder that dies, while your opponent will get a 4/3, or a perfectly timed Doomsayer. Your imp-plosions will always hit for 2 damage (I counted this, I did 2 damage 8 times in a row one night), and your opponents will always hit for max damage whenever they use a damage range spell or bomb bot. Your opponents will always have Sylvannas and use her to take your last minion, which happens to be a demon. He'll then play Malgannis to buff that minion, then follow up with Kel Thuzad so you can't kill Malgannis, and finally finish you off with Juraxxis. And your SW:Death spells will make you wonder if somehow they were deleted from your deck. Still don't wanna spend money? Just look at all these awesome cards you could have if you spent money!!! Well if that game didn't convince you, how about we pit you up against Sneed's, Dr Boom, Ragnaros, and Alex, while leaving both frothing bezerkers, both patrons, and both death's bites until the last 8 cards of your deck! That still didn't get you to spend money? OK, Fuck you. You are just going to get all spells and no minions for 8 turns. And you have 8 spells total in your deck... which are mostly buffs for your minions.... Sigh....

I'm simply pointing out that sometimes it seems like the game is programmed to make you want to spend money by giving you aweful hands and/or pairing you against decks filled with legendaries constantly. Yes, Ragnaros is not the best legendary, but it is pretty good when you already spent your 4 removals on 4 legendaries before it. If Rag and Archmage sucked, why do people put them in their decks?

+beayn well this game as a lot of RNg u can get form your first pack golden legendary which are super rare I got 2 of them from opening 2k packs or u can get 4 common and a rare. And right now no one runs ragnoros well maybe at lower rank since new players think it's op but it's shit coz right now one of the best deck is secret paladin and rag is useless against a paladin. Archmage is only run on tempo and mech Mage as a late game finisher other then that, the card sits in your hand. To a new player I suggest u get first 2 wing of naxxramas which has some of the bets card in the game and first wing of black rock it will cost you 1800 gold but it will give u 3 legendary and 2 of which are to tiar and cards to make top tiar deck like midrange hunter,zoo or even face hunter
