It wouldn't have kept him from dying. He would have been at 9 health after what you said. The 5/3 would have hit face, then opponent drops Tarim and the 1/1's become 3/3 and Kolento's more than defeated.

There wouldn't be a 5/3 (it's a murloc buffed by war leader) and the opponent wouldn't have Tarim.

I don't know who created the original kingsbane deck, a lot of people problably came up with the idea simultaneously, however I think Kolento came up with this "miracle" kingsbane rogue.

I think the mill rogue version (with coldlights and shadowsteps and squidfaces instead of battlecry pirates) was from Dog, or at least he was the first to achieve high legend (actually, #1) with this deck afaik. This pirate version idk tho
