been playing this since before the miniset and yeah it's not very good or consistent, came here to look for a list mostly to learn what to cut for shale spider, can't believe he doesn't run brass elemental that card is an autowin in some games

I ended up building a monster mash elemental shaman deck. It doesnt play spells or non elementals. It is slow but consistent. I will try to post the list later if this gets a reply.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he also had exact lethal on-board in that last game even without the nut draw. Enemy health was 5+9 armor, with a Dirty Rat for 6 taunt, value trade the Dirty rat with 6 power Fire Elemental, then throw the 8 power Azurite Giant and both 2/3s at their face for 14 damage. Plus Arcane Bolt/Lightning storm in hand to kill Dirty Rat for another 6 damage face even before the draw. I guess my point is that that opponent was *exceedingly dead*

8+2+2 is 12, not 14

When the warrior ended his turn he was at 14 (9+5) and would have taken 12 on board (8+2+2), with the 6/5 hitting the 2/6 taunt. He was dead to almost any form of interaction but was technically alive on board.

Therazane buffs elementals in hand too. Which let that alakirr in Kibler's hand get the lethal where lorthamar wouldn't have.

Plus she has Taunt. So ofc you can Reno/Silence/Transform her but if you can read the game, taunt will be enough to trigger her

@@zavierkok102 He got an extra 6 damage from Therazane buffing his Al'Akir. But he also missed damage on face in order to kill off his Therazane so that it didn't get Reno'd. If it were Lorthemar, he wouldn't have had to do that and could have put 7 damage on his opponent, 1 more than the extra he got from Therazane buffing Al'Akir.

@@johnstahl3256 But if the opponent did Reno, he would also have had 5 more armor, which would have left him with 4 health. We don't know if that Warrior held Reno back to play Brann on a nearly empty board and would have played Reno if Thera was still in play. And it's not like they could have played Reno a turn earlier since they spent their coin to clear the board earlier (in order to stay alive).

Kibler has said in the past she's kind of a flex pick. I'd swap with Cold Storage for the Skarr burst potential, Therazane value, and/or copying Titans.

Less elementals to draw means worse chance of keeping the chain going. Bounce effects require not just extra mana but also a target in play, lacking one of those leads to more games with broken chains.

I play Rainbow DK with Excavate Package and Renathal, I have yet to lose to a single Warrior in 10+ games, if you manage your resources correctly Reno Warrior can't physically beat you before you eventually just destroy them with Climactic Necrotic Explosion, other Odyn based decks can give you some troubles if they highroll and drop Odyn on curve but it's still a favored matchup and you always have Patchwerk to potentially just instawin

i tested it. only useful way to play warrior is odyn renathal warrior. its also on hs replays like toptier deck with 60% winrate in general.

Your list is pretty bad tbh. Magatha is too expensive and slow, this deck has enough generation without her. Also, not running the elemental which discovers an elemental from the past is a mistake, that card has won me games. Also no cold storage to dupe Skarr? Dealing ten to everything 3 turns in a row is the best part of the deck. Brass elemental is also worth a slot, as it's good removal vs paladins and is good with doubled stats

100% agree on Brass Elemental, not for the interaction with Therazane but for the fact that sometimes it autowins games if you get it on board early and happen to buff it with Flame Revenant and/or Trusty Companion, disagree on everything else. Eroded Sediment is definitely not needed when you have this much high end with Thera, Skarr and Al'akir and the deck desperately needs cards that provide good tempo, Cold Storage is obviously really good if you happen to get it with Skarr but it's very unreliable and it's absolutely terrible in all other situations since it's not an Elemental so it breaks the chain and it's not a minion for Magatha, which is the last thing you want to cut since you have pretty much zero draw otherwise and relying on randomly generated minions is obviously much worse
