Dear Kripp, Yesterday i finally gave into the insanity and retired nzoth paladin, i now main face shaman and i must say it is much easier to smorc than to think about what youre going to do. Unfortunately i have come across a problem. I dont always start off with tunnel trogg, totem golem, and feral spirits in my hand and i figured that i must be doing something wrong. Any tips on how to fix this problem???

You acknowledge the fact that everything is mostly emptiness and quantum fluctuations and brace the fact that we all are connected. After that you must succumb to the fact that you are an opponent who doesn't play control therefore you must have the divine starter of trogg, golem, golem, coin and flamewreathed whilst your ally in humanity suffers from the lack of presence on board and of removal.

Sure, you don't have to play a hyper-aggressive tempo-based shaman or Zoo. You can play this highly specific decklist, oooor that another super-speicifc decklist. Provided you have these specific legendary and epic cards. After all, you can play any class you want! If you have an immense collection of cards and have these specific overpowered legendaries. If this doesn't prove my point I don't know what does Hearthpwn, I really don't.
@BACKINWHITEBAAA8 жыл бұрын
What's your point?
@Arrakiz6668 жыл бұрын
mjmlnw1993 No? The point is that agrro decks are popular not just because they work, but also because they require minimal investment of money, time and effort. While anything that isn't aggro requires very specific legendaries, a lot of effort and skill AND luck on top of it to work. Like I'm sorry, but this a free to play game, I should not be required to invest this much into it if I want to actually have fun with it instead of playing boring, mindless agrro-grind.

@shiroxyfy42508 жыл бұрын
Changing 1 or 2 cards doesn't brick a deck, infact, it's encouraged to change cards for different matchups even among meta decks. Healing wave is RIDICULOUS against certain matchups, and Hallazeal only taking up one slot in a deck, which usually runs damage spells/clear, pretty insane situational cards.
@ramster_60898 жыл бұрын
Jordan Shirley If you want to win jousts, you have to add in a good bit of late game cards. You cannot achieve that if you are playing Mid-range or aggro shaman, the 2 most popular shamans right now.
@shiroxyfy42508 жыл бұрын
You said yourself, the 2 most popular shamans, which means they have the same cards as you, which means you have an equal chance to win a joust against them, not to mention, the point I was making is that Kripp said "Shamans have the worst healing".
@ramster_60898 жыл бұрын
+Jordan Shirley a joust that ties does not count as a win, so you have a slightly less than 50% chance to win the joust against a mirror. Shamans have the worst healing because more than half the time you are paying 3 mana to heal 7. That is worse than healing touch which is not played at all. On the other hand, if you build a top heavy deck(most likely control), then healing wave is borderline broken.

@wannesdebreuck90728 жыл бұрын
nope, if he traded one leeroy into the wrathguard he would've missed 3 damage from the hellfire. The way he played it maximised the damage he had in his hand.
@patrickwienhoft79878 жыл бұрын
wannes drol But he took four and had lethal in hand with Hellfire. I'd argue assuming your opponent has no heal for 1-3 (because in case of 4+ heal, he loses anyway) and just making sure you don't die is a better play than what he did. Another option would have been to copy Leeroy before PO, trade the PO Leeroy into Wrathguard and hit face for 16. That way your opponent has 4 HP left, but you end up with a 9/3 and a 6/2, while your opponent only has 4 Damage on Board.
21:37 why didn't he played hellfire and next turn the leeroy combo :pp

lmao the end of that last duel was so fucking compelling. dude used reno, then alexstrasza on you only for you to reno, then dropped everything he had to deal 29 face damage in a single turn only for you to heal it all back with TWO healing waves, just pushed so hard to the point where all he had left was hellfire + doomsayer and could only stall while taking fatigue damage. i guess you had some pretty good RNG, and hindsight is 20/20, but if he had paced things out a bit more in the mid game he might have stayed ahead. duels like this always end up going to the player who staggers his "answers," so he doesn't end up in a situation where he's faced with a huge threat when he has already exhausted all his answers on a lesser threat. or, sometimes it's okay to take a massive 15 damage when you have the cards to prevent it immediately as long as you can remove it the next turn, and that seems like a misplay while it's happening but a few turns later you realize that you saved the removal or taunt cards for a much bigger threat. like spectators are always going to think short term because they don't know how the duel ends. so when you're watching a duel real time, the ideal play always looks like whichever one optimizes the ratio between your HP & your opponent's HP, i.e. mitigates the most incoming damage and deals the most outgoing damage. but when you look back on a duel you realize you could have prevented a loss by choosing not to play certain cards that mitigated or dealt a lot of damage early on. in the moment, there's not really a way of accurately knowing when that might happen, but that's how RNG games always go, and if you look back on your losses you can see patterns. it feels like you lose control when you "gamble" by not playing a card that seems perfect short term because you think it MIGHT save you long term, IF your opponent plays something and IF you draw no other answers. but you also gamble by playing the card just as much, you just don't realize it because you're only looking at the cards on the board and the cards your opponent might play in the next couple turns. if you're only thinking a couple turns ahead, you have a blind spot, and that blind spot tells you that you're playing rationally and mathematically and leaving relatively little up to chance. but you're leaving the whole long term game up to chance all the time. so no matter what you do, you're always just estimating probabilities (or just not caring and winging it) and playing according to those probabilities. when you intentionally do a short term "misplay" you're just estimating a high probability that your opponent will have a much more threatening board later on in the fight, and that this risk outweighs the risk of taking a lot of damage right now. and it also bears in mind that damage =/= loss. like if you win a game with 1 health, it doesn't matter how much health you lost during those mid game turns where you felt like you were losing. like if i can play something on turn 15 that will prevent me from going from 20 HP to 5 HP, it's going to seem like a huge misplay NOT to do it. but if i fast forward to turn 22 and i've still lost, maybe that's a good justification for taking the misplay next time i end up in a similar situation, so i can see where it actually would have gone if i "misplayed." taking 15 damage on turn 15 but winning on turn 27 is obviously still way better than avoiding 15 damage on turn 15 but losing on turn 22.

Probably could have felt comfortable about a lot of things against that handlock. Off the top of my head, three pretty clear misplays: 1. Doesn't attack + Mortal Coil the Mana Tide Totem before playing Cult Apothecary. Given that he only needed to gain 6 health to top up, he didn't need it on the board for the battlecry, so drawing first is by far the better play. 2. Life Taps *after* playing Reno, despite having enough health to do it before. 3. Plays Cursed! before playing Dark Peddler. Yet another case of taking definitive actions before drawing random cards, which is a rookie mistake. 4. After that, Life Taps as his last action for the turn. 5. Alpha strikes you without lethal, allowing you a 14 health heal. 6. Doesn't attack one of his Leeroys into your demon, despite there being absolutely no drawback to doing so. Really, that guy was awful. :-S

When he did the Leeroy Combo in the end, didnt he miss lethal? P-O on the 9-3 then Faceless Manipulator = 26+Leeroy=32, instead he put P-O on Leeroy and FM him so he only got 29 10+10+9.
