jUSt Lonelyreign What "bad games" are you talking about? Every time Trump played it, he won the game in seconds. It was the perfect card for this deck, especially with that hero ability chipping away at health.

I use to think the Fel Reaver was really bad. But then I realized that there are three situations that can occur after you play Fel Reaver. 1. The enemy has an immediate answer that burns a few cards. 2. They have no answer and you get to deal 8 free damage. 3. The play a bunch of little things to make you burn cards which doesn't solve the Fel Reaver or the multiple hits of 8 damage to their face on the turns afterwards. All in all Fel Reaver is a really good card in Arena.

Aldmeri Dominion 4: Read 3 but add a freeze effect at the end before implementing 1 the turn after. It's niche, but it's the anti-reaver dream.

Aldmeri Dominion 4. Aldor Peacekeeper, Frost Elemental, Frost Bolt. There are counter cards out there. Don't get me wrong, I love Fel Reaver and think it's fantastic, but you can get countered, and if you do you will lose the game.

The problem is that there is really only a few cards in Arena that can deal with a Fel Reaver on turn 5-6. BGH, Polymorph, SW: Death, Assasinate, Aldor Peackeeper. Or if they use two or more cards to kill it, then it traded favourably. And if they can't kill it, that is either 8 damage to face or it can kill a minion and still be alive, thus trading for at least 2 cards. And the cards it discards would only be a problem if you ran out of cards, which is unlikely in Arena.

BSBlackSilverBoltBSB let's say I'm an awful player. And mage spells are pretty strong. I went an arena run with literally one spell once, and that was polymorph. No frostbolts, no fireblasts, no flamestrike, nothing.

H. Greaves it might not be you; it might be strong match-ups. I go 2-3 or even 0-3 at times, so I feel your pain. Try and play around area of effects like consecrate or flamestrike, or even mind control tech if you're at a stalemate. I guess that's all the advice I can give at the moment.

Maybe all those scrubs that think Fel Reaver is bad should watch this video. The card carried Trump and is the sole reason he did as well as he did. Without the card, this run could have very well been 3-4 wins.

For those of you who STILL after this video think that Fel reaver is a bad card in arena, it is ranked under the "good" category with a score of 70 in ADWCTA's arena tier list, which is the best list on the internet for arena. The only things ranked higher than it are sea giant and piloted sky golem. It is literally the 3rd best epic base minion in arena.

Fel Reaver gets so much hate despite being such a good card in arena. Yes, you will discard cards but most of the time your opponent will be like "Fel Reaver? Poor guy!" and immediately try to make you discard as many cards as possible. This often leads to your opponent wasting as many good cards as you are discarding, unless Fel Reaver gets frozen and repeatedly discards cards for a lot of turns it can steal you some ridiculously fast games.

Man, was that disgusting to watch. Semi-ebola arena hunter deck with the only weakness being few 2-drops resulted in 12 wins, partly because almost every game Trump drew into his only Argent Squire followed by one of the few 2-drops. It's so consistent, it makes me wonder if RNJesus exists after all. I think there wasn't a single non-perfect Animal Companion as well the whole run, the luck of this arena was just insane. Got to say it was well deserved skill wise though, glad to see that Trump nowadays doesn't just blindly trade and goes for face when the situation calls for it. Also, for all the Fel Reaver preachers out there that conveniently appeared after this run, whenever Trump played it, he followed with another 8/8, 6/6, 9/9 or something insane like that which actually made it look perfect. The only game where Fel Reaver was useful on its own was one of the first ones, where it indeed carried him. In past, more control natured runs, it did absolutely nothing for Trump. "Variance" as the mayor says. Still a very dangerous card which I like to avoid, top deck it versus a zoo/rush deck and feel the bliss.

People are like... if he have freeze... if he have humility. Yeah... totally happen in all the decks when you play arena... ALL of the decks. And we talk about 2 classes. % of encountering these 2 classes X % of encountering a hard counter. The card give more than a decent edge on the table most of the times. If they one busrt it with spell or polymorph, you didnt lose that much and they needed a hard removal for it.

The goodness of Fel Reaver can be better understood with an analogy I just thought up of. If you play Fel Reaver, you are basically counting on the game being a fast game (If you assume it's going to go in your favor that is). If the game is going to be over so quickly, why do you even need a deck of 20+ cards? 10 or less is more than enough time to seal the game out!

vesmo lol The version I see more often is that you should just "pretend" that those cards were at the bottom of your deck, and that it doesn't matter as long as you don't deck out. Mine is saying pretty much the same thing, but I think it gets the point across much more efficiently by bundling all the concepts in a much more easily understood manner than "pretending that cards were not drawn".

"fel reaver is still bad" It's only bad if you run out of cards. Otherwise the drawback is actually helpful, it tells you what you will not be drawing, and lets you plan knowing that. That said, I love control-ish decks. While I respect it, it's not a card I like.

Fel reaver isn't an AMAZING card, it was used in a very appropriate way however. For less expirienced players playing this at the wrong time can screw you over. It is a very situational card.
