I like the variety over constructed. The problem is with the range of cards now it is possible to have like 6 different tiers of decks based on the packs offered, yet only 3 losses allowed. So many times you don't have much of a chance. I would like to see a random draft format that actually gives a deck enough time to find its tier and get a few more games in to see how well you can do at a variety of levels. In other words, you're supposed to lose a few times against better decks, because yeah, it's random. What shouldn't happen is having to start all over if you get 3 in a row that clearly got better pick options than yours.

Not playing around Flamestrike? Last 5 mages I battled in arena had 1-3 Flamestrikes. Not playing around a 3rd one lost me a game...

I think the point is that there's a good chance they don't have it, compared to constructed where they almost always do. There's just so much randomness in arena that opposing cards are almost impossible to predict. Not to mention that not only do they have to draft it, they have to then draw it.

23:05 Sacred Trial should have killed the Totem instead of Tuskar. This is a major bug.

not quite. first of all, the minion should be 'played' to be killed by sacred trial, not just 'summoned'. the totem is summoned, not played. & second of all, battlecries activate _before_ the minion enters the game. so first the totem is summoned, then tuskarr is placed on the board, hence making it a minion played when you have at least three minions on the board. it can be counter-intuitive, but it's not a bug.

I know that that's how the game works but I can't help but feel like the mechanic works the way it does due to keyword definition and timing of game flow as opposed to the way I feel like Sacred Trial's birthed-design intention i.e. When (quite literally) a minion that is the fourth or more to be played, destroy it. It uses the opponent's increasingly large field presence to his detriment. Like you said, the way that it (correctly) activates in game is horribly counter-intuitive, yes, but in my eyes goes against the core principle that Sacred Trial itself was created on. To be quite honest, a lot of the time I feel like the battlecry itself is counter-intuitive due to it's activation before it enters play, but it is what it is. I agree I used the term 'bug' in haste, but at the time was more of my show of disapproval of the way it worked than it actually being a bug.

i hear thee :) probably there's a bunch of technical requirements that make it necessary that the battlecries activate first. i remember killing a mad scientist with the battlecry of my fire elemental, mad scientist bringing up a mirror entity, and mirror entity copying the fire elemental that started the chain-reaction. tell _that_ to my intuition! btw, in this case of sacred trial... even if the battlecry activated after tuskarr entered the board, the totem wouldn't get killed due to being a minion that is summoned, not played. but i guess that would be less counter-intuitive; after all, the minions you summon through your hero power are not targeted by sacred trial and we're all ok with it.

+Mr Juitman I think the issue is that battlecries are animated incorrectly. According to the rules the effect happens before the minion hits the board, but the game always displays the minion hitting the board first before it plays the battlecry animation. it makes some sense from a design perspective; you want to make battlecries and spells very distinguishable and make sure everyone knows the minion is causing the effect. But it's also counterintuitive in cases like this where multiple effects trigger in order.

Curve generally refers to how much mana you have available. To play 'on curve' usually means you can spend all your mana in order to make the most efficient play.

Playing on curve usually means trying to use ur mana as efficiently as possible. Example, playing a 1-drop on turn 1, 2-drop on turn 2 etc
