Heartland is still one of the best shows ever. I was really sad to see online that there are only 6 episodes this season. I have sincerely enjoyed this season so far. The character development and finding joy in the middle of life's never-ending challenges is still on point. Please give us a season 19.

What I love about this season is that they have brought back the sweeping musical orchestration that was so rich in seasons one and two, especially. Also, the cinematography is really excellent in season eighteen. Together, along with the fresh storylines, it makes it so much more enjoyable to watch. Seasons fourteen - sixteen were less enjoyable. Nevertheless, I hung in there believing for better things to come, and here we are! In addition, I would love to see a lot more of Shane and Chloe at Heartland in the near future.

@ednasollis9178 He's not coming back. I don't know why people keep putting stuff on KZbin saying that he is. He said so years ago in his last interview explaining his departure from the show that he wasn't, otherwise, he would not have agreed to or let them kill him off the show if he intended to return. It's okay to miss him because I do, but I have come to terms with the fact that he is gone and not returning. People need to stop getting everyone's hopes up and spreading untruths.

Yet here we are. It is what it is. We regroup and carry on, just as we do in real life. There’s no other option for us.

She should be able to do what she wants for once without everybody judging or telling her who she can be with or what she should do. She's an adult and it is her life. Do what makes you happy Amy!

@@rickjohnson6110 No, I know Lou thinks she has to protect Amy after their mother and Ty died, but that ship sailed and it is a little late for that, especially since she dropped that ball when Ty died and wasn't there for Amy. Jack was the one who was there for her. She should've been, but she wasn't. Amy is a grown woman and I think she is tired of Lou poking her nose where it doesn't belong and using Amy for ambitious gain, because she does is end up hurting her in the end. As for Amy turning into Lou, that will never happen. In the past, she has (and even Jack) told Lou and her father both that she is not like them. Again, Amy never hid Nathan, like Lou did with Peter and Mitch (at first). The only people who really know Amy is Ty and Jack. Lou and Tim always spoke for her and seem to think that she is incapable of making her own decisions. Amy will still be the same person she has always been, just no longer a doormat. I think it is about time she start to stand up for herself, whether it be about Lyndy, her business or whomever she likes. How is that in any way like Lou?

I really like Amy and Nathan, I wish they stopped trying to push the Caleb romance in there though. What would be nice though is if they showed some female friendships again, neither Amy, Lou, nor Katie have a good girl-friend, other women/girls are mostly used as competition which is pretty boring in my opinion. More friendships would also allow more storytelling and bring in some fresh themes. Amy hasn't had close girl-friends since the first few seasons!
