Heartland deserves an Emmy for sound. It's always natural. It's always clear. It always brings everything together, and adds mood and character to excellent acting and writing. It is cohesive ad never brings attention to itself or distraction. One of the few other long-running series having done this so well was Downton Abbey.

Very accurate, concise, ---unknown to many listeners--- what conscientious care, dedication is entailed behind the scenes to make the entire collaboration successful between sound (only 3)and photographer's hundred of helpers...also to prevent distractions to the actors, outdoor scenes with the animals be it one or including whole herd!

I absolutely love the season show Heartland and I’ve been watching heartland over and over again and I’m just waiting for season 16 for heartland to come out! I’ve been told that season 16 for heartland was meant to come out on Netflix this year but it still hasn’t and it’s almost July. I love watching heartland. Wholesome TV family show. But i felt heartland is no longer heartland since Ty is gone. He died too soon to be a father to Lyndy while growing up.

Nothing frustrates me more than the sound guys who try to make v8's in trucks sound like they're diesels. I mean Tims truck even has "v10" or something stamped on the side and yet it sounds like a diesel. I've also heard one of those trucks (Mitch?) sound like a diesel one or two times and a gas other times. I've even heard the natural gas sound being dubbed over with diesel sounds at the same time. Guys. It's a show in Canada's truck province, any guy watching this show on TV is just cringing when the trucks roll through. Other than that, it's a great series!

That's not something that production sound does, that would be a post-production issue, adding in the wrong kind of foley.
