The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Thank you. You’re absolutely correct. The show hasn’t been the same without Ty & I just can’t see Amy with anyone else. The show since season 14 has been extremely sad with Ty passing and has left a hole in the storyline, with the viewers and cast. I literally tear up at every memory & wait for a scene with him. His Truck, Caleb finding his motorcycle everything. I love the show and will continue to watch it. Can’t wait for season 18. I do wish Ty to return but I know in many interviews and his podcast say he isn’t returning 🌹💔

Spence Lord as Nathan will never replace Graham Wardel as Ty. This tv series will never move forward it's dead because the once popular leading storyline was Ty Borden and Graham acted this character to the T and after 13 seasons the fans got to know Graham, Ty character and we cannot get him our of our minds. What a shame that Graham Wardel felt he had to leave without giving a happy closure to the leading storyline and leading actor that made heartland popular with his Ty character. Many won't be watching the direction they are going with this show and it is not moving forward and it has not moved forward for 3 seasons and going on 4 since Graham Wadel as Ty departure from the show and 100% diminishing his character in the show completely to thin air, no memory, stories, pictures to the child character Lyndy Borden. They are going with Spencer Lord and he will not revive the show or move to more seasons. The tv series is dead in the water for season 18. Soap opera shows go to die because that is what majority of fans don't want to watch or there is no place for a family drama tv series which it is not anymore. No truth, no love, no togetherness, no humor, no accountability, no good music and no good acting anymore, old and worn out old actors that don't have any passion anymore. Sadly Graham is not coming back and they have destroyed this tv series. They should have ended it when Graham left with a happy Borden family on Heartland ranch or gave him a break which they could have easily done , give him writing,, directing opportunities without killing his character off to thin air, wiped clean. How dumb do these CE0's, directors, writers think no soapy fans are that stupid and don't care and will continue to watch because it is a long running family show Heartland? Now they can't find a way to selvage the damage to this long running tv series with a new love for Amy, Fail! They should end it season 18 Amy stays widow, takes care of Lyndy and tell her stories, pictures of her father Ty and her when she was a baby, toddler, Keep his horse Harley until the horse dies of old age, show her dads stone on the fireplace, Jack remembers Ty Borden and part of the family even after his death, Amy Flemming stays Borden same for Lyndy. Amy gets back to rescuing and rehabilitating horses that need her help, involved in the youth center in Ty's name. Bring back grown up Luke to Heartland to see the youth center and get him involved in the youth center how Ty helped Luke see potential in himself and can control his anger and allowed to let his mother not control him or feel he needs to take care of her she can stand on her own two feet. They have something coming No Graham Wardel as Ty No Heartland will not continue. Sad how this long running show is going to end and the direction they took and they don't know how to fix it. Season18 will be it's last with a travesty ending. They needed Graham more than him needed to stay on heartland tv series. They should have not treated Graham the way they did. Graham is moving on to bigger and better acting, writing, directing opportunities this fall. Dang CDC and entitled crew people lost a very talented young man as Graham Heartland crew great job! You also lost your worldwide fan base. The no soapy fans will be following Graham's script writing acting ,producing and directing work over CDC productions and the ending of Heartland tv series. Why CDC let this show be demolished like this will be the money over integrity. Graham has more integrity and had to do what was right for him self, his freedom rights, acting and production experience growth. I don't blame Grahams decisions how corrupt this heartland crew had become and let Morgan and Potter disrespect Graham for his ideas and denied growth to doing any production work which he has education in. Graham gave them a good amount of time to come to a great finale for this heartland tv series with a happy closure to this #1 love story between Amy & Ty to a happy ending on Heartland ranch with their daughter Lyndy character. So long Heartland tv series and Amber's Heartland store.

How they could bring Ty back (6 Ways): 1. Haitian voodoo priest comes to the ranch to learn riding. Makes a deal with Amy to bring Ty back from "DE ODEEER SIDEE!!" At a TERRIBLE PRICE (Season 19 will explain) 2. Ty was actually a Vulcan, he put his Katra in one of the horses, Amy must go to the Genesis planet to find Ty's reanimated body, then travel to Vulcan to rejoin his Katra and the body. 3. Aliens find a piece of Ty's Ashes, clone it into an exact duplicate of Ty, and plant him on the ranch, and he turns out to actually be an an alien sent to study Jacks ranching techniques, so they can stop mutilating cows. 4. Amy actually dreamed the whole thing about Ty dying, she wakes up to kisses from Ty and daisies with breakfast (Blech, cheese alert!!!) 5. Ty's ghost actually comes back from the dead to get REVENGE on the shooter. Then he dies again once his soul is at peace. But he scares his victims to death by turning into a scary corpse. 7. Lou's constant whining tears a hole in the time space continuum, allowing Amy to travel back in time and keep Ty from ever getting shot in the first place.
