He said "the answer overall to this question is yes Hearts of Iron 4 is dying but it doesn't mean it's the end" as in the game has recived so much updates that the game is currently going down in popularity (as in current player count), however he himself said that the game is not likely to die out fully as there is ton that will make the game relevant such as mods, community and the reworks of already updated nations (beacuse the German dlc was integrated and the dev studio suggested they are going to remake the dlc with better focuses and/or gameplay). His video was just a small thumbnail clickbait, yours one was just lying about what he said (as in taking said parts and giving false context around it). Still, good editing and stuff.

Isorrow fan here, I agree with your point. Vic2 is a good example of a game that still has replay ability long after its abandonment/release. Even CK2, a 2010 game last updated in 2021, has 2800 players today. A game with a successful sequel hasn't "killed* the game, as a decent community of people still play it. Workshop may be dead, but not the game. Hoi4 is going to have players still playing, more players if a hypothetical HOI5 turns out underwhelming.

Playercount doesn't necessarily mean it is dying. There's a lot more to address which is what ISP discussed, especially like how Paradox keeps milking the game by bloating it with mediocre focus trees and features behind a paywall, there's no more fresh content and I don't think there has been any major overhaul mods like KR and RT56 that do keep the game alive. As far as playercount goes, no, HOI4 is not dead.

no new dlc's? only when i looked at map i see at least 6, 1= rework or china, communist china, warlodrds and japan + tree for tibet, mongolia and mayby nepal 2 = rework of yougoslav, chehoslovak and romanian tree + tree for albania and irland, 3 = trees for siam, indonesia, malesia and filipines + create country of french indochina and tree (simmilar to belgium - kongo in new dlc) + rework of australia and mayby of new zeland, 4 = arab, oman syria, palestina+izrael, jordania and egipt as countries (some of them as puppets) + trees, 5 = african dlc when you can be as puppet of colonial empires or do decolonization and fight for freedom, 6 = "latin america" dlc with mexico, caraibes, this smaller countries in central america and in same dlc or as 7 dlc for panama and rest of south america, an in time we will need more reworks and see mor options, so no. paradox will not run out of ideas for dlc's
