Yup, I just feel heartstopper just proves that the more an author is involved in an adaptation of their work, the more faithful and true to theme it is. There were minor changes but I feel like the changes made really aided the story. It just makes me so HAPPY I could cry😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

watching this show at 22 feels so bittersweet. on the one hand i'm so happy for all the lgbtq+ teens who will find comfort in this show, but on the other hand i'm jealous i didn't have something as pure as that when i was growing up and figuring stuff about myself. and dear god, finally seeing a perfect bisexual representation really means a lot. and kit connor blew me away with his performance. everything about this show was amazing but he was definitely the highlight for me.

My parents thought I was having a stroke but I was just soooo happy at how this turned out. I won’t say it’s better than the books *yet*, but I really liked how we got to see more from certain characters, like Tara, Darcy and Elle! The casting? Flawless. The acting??? Perfection. The script???? Breathtaking. All I can say is that this show and this cast are: talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference (do reference it please!!), put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it and I love it so much 🥰🥰🥰

this video/your reactions are just like the show: PERFECTION! lol XD The show is so warm and wholesome and lovely and adorable and your reactions were also so warm and wholesome and lovely and adorable. Not to mention your comments are like 5000% truth: the much inclusion of the girls (especially Elle), the inclusion of the comic/graphic novel elements, the casting...basically everything. Will you have reactions to the rest of the episodes or just those two? Also profoundly agree that it's so weird to be an Old Queer(TM) on the interwebs this day and age. (I didn't have Kurt Hummel until college so THATS how fckin old I am lol XD) Like you, every time I see or read a queer YA or MG thing I'm all like "Damn I WISH I had this as a kid!" but I'm not even mad or that jealous about it cuz I'm just happy that it's here and that the young queer kiddos get to have this, and that WE even get to have this even though we're adults is so nice and uplifting!
