I've never had any sort of relationship during my teenage years (I still don't now, lol) and everyone who relates knows the struggle. It feels like there's something wrong with you somehow. Even if I don't relate to the series in terms of the queer experience, I just love seeing such a heartwarming representation of pure love. As a bisexual teen Heartstopper has been so incredible because I relate to it. I relate to the struggles of coming out, and classmates bullying you, and trying to feel safe and normal in a world that can be so scary. Some Heartstopper scenes have made me cry because I see how happy Tara and Darcy are and I'm just like this is beautiful I hope I can have this some day. Alice Oseman and Netflix did an amazing job making such a heartwarming series that helps LGBTQ+ kids and teens feel seen

Every day can be scary for us. At school we get bullied, whispered about, and called slurs. Some of us can't be out to our families and some of us have had friends not like us anymore because they think we're gross or have a crush on them. Even in the adult world you can lose job opportunities, people won't want you nearby, it's difficult to adopt children, you could get attacked, there's just so many things. But Heartstopper shows that there is good mixed into the bad and we can have a happy life with people who care about us and overcome all these struggles.

@@showmoke yes it was, or well Joe was told to mess with his hair and they never told kit so his reaction and joe's laugh was real. Apparently the entire opening montage of them around each others houses was improvised. They were both told do what they wanted in the space they were given and naturally build up to a kiss. So things like the "this is war" play fight and the cheek kiss etc was just Joe and Kit vibing with the characters.

Kit Connor made me have the confidence to come out as bisexual to my family with the role he played as Nick Nelson. I've always been confused of my sexuality, and i literally went through the same thing Nick Nelson did. He had really bad bully friends, me too. He was confused of his sexuality, me too. I always thought i was a lesbian because I've dated one girl in my life, but never realized that i always liked men before i met them. You see how this is playing? Nick's mother always said that Nick always liked this one girl from Pirates of Carribean. He completely is like me. I always loved the main character from Ready Player One. Alice, you have created a male version of me; and I am so happy that I FULLY relate to a character from something I love. Thank you, Kit Connor, for playing this amazing role, and making me have the confidence to tell my family I'm bisexual after I completely knew, and thank you Alice, for creating this amazing comic.

As a 26 year old straight female, I have to say this is one of my favorite shows! I love that it’s so inclusive. While reality pushes in every so often to remind us that hate exists, it warms my heart to see that it focuses primarily on how effortless & joyful the camaraderie can be between such a diverse group of people. At the end of the day, as long as you’re kind and open, life could feel like this if we let it. Doesn’t matter who you love as long as you’re loving. Rooting for all these kiddos 😊 It’s just beautiful & wholesome & I hope everyone feels as glowy when they watch it too 💛

The wave corridor has a very similar feel to the corridor where Ben confronts Charlie and Nick, then has his animated ocean waves moment. The two versions of the waves, one surrounding our lovely couple and the other trying to approach the antihero... makes me think it was on purpose!
