I just saw your duet with your brother, at your wedding, before watching this. You both clearly carry your dad’s gift and passion for music, and your brother looks so much like him. I know very well the love/grieving relationship we can have with those that have gone before us. I have learned well that love, as well as grief, has no respect for time, or physical presence and location. And that it is perfectly reasonable to desperately miss someone 22 years after barely missing seeing them in person. What is wonderful, and overwhelming to me at times, is the way God weaves us together through an unexplainable love, that defies logic and reason at times. In my family, and clearly in yours as well, there is a song we are born with, deep inside us, that is handed down from generation to generation. It may come out in different ways in each of us, and we may even hear different words at times. But it is woven so deep into the core of who we are, it is impossible to ignore. It’s that connection with your family that is here now, and with the ones we so desperately miss who’ve gone before us, and the precious ones we haven’t met yet. I love that you’re wearing his jacket, but I assure that you, and your brother, carry far more of him with you than that. Who he is, and his love for you, is eternal and without time or limitation. So while I know he loves to hear you sing, I also know that he is so deep inside who you both are, that when you sing, he’s singing with you. I don’t usually leave comments on KZbin, but I recognized your heart and the love relationship you have with him. And I wanted to encourage you to keep singing his song. Sing for him, and always sing with him!

I have to tell you how much we loved your dad Anna. He was at our house the week before he died and true to his nature, he gave us his full attention as if we were the only people that mattered at that moment. Here he was battling a brain tumor amidst the heartbreaking loss of his little boy and he wanted to know how we were doing in our lives - most sincerely, as if anything remotely important was going on in our lives. We kept saying "Who cares about that Rich, how are YOU doing?!" and he just kept waving his hand "I'm fine, I'm fine, seriously I wanna know about you guy's, what the news in your lives." A week later he was gone. I don't think anything has ever hit any of us so profoundly than when your parents lost your brother and then your mom lost your dad. Aside from losing my own dad, I don't recall ever shedding more tears than at the back to back losses your incredible, courageous mother endured. I can assure you I have never known anyone quite as remarkable as your parents. They were as special together as they were as individuals and your beautiful mom continues to be so. She is a Lioness, a Queen to be crowned.

Anna thank you so much for this. My dad passed away May 16, 2018 almost 3 years ago in a few weeks.I some how came across your channel and I am glad I did. This made me remember all the memories I had with and of him, my dad passed away with a brain stroke at the age of 51 I was 26 years old. I miss him SO much he was my world. I grew up in a Christian house hold but never thought much of it until my dad passed I opened my whole heart, soul and world for god and I got baptized Jan 17, 2020. Took me 26 years and tragic lost to fully understand my life and what I am ment to be and do.
