Yay! A Heather Storm video! Always a good day. I've had a few SUVs and they never had that skid plate on it. I wonder if places that do oil changes do that as part of the job or will they charge extra. Interesting.

One other good thing to do when your done with the oil change, press the brake and the gas pedal bothe at the same time to the floor and push the start button. It will crank but not start for about 10 seconds to prime the oil.

Great job Heather!! Quick question, they don't recommend synthetic oil because it would be 6k intervals? A tip which you probably already know to use LPS3 on any exterior bolts. It dries to a waxy film for protection, something I learned here in the northeast. Hope you had a great Holiday weekend !! 👍💪❤🙏💯😊

While you said 2.3 in the video you should title this video as such since the 2.7 oil change is in totally different locations and parts. On the 2.7 the drain plug is plastic with a totally different cartridge filter setup. Anyway good job, but don't forget to prime before starting which someone else already posted about.

Did you tighten the new filter with a wrench? I was always told to just tighten the filter with just your hands. Don't want it too tight!

Yes an oil filter wrench, the specs say 3/4 turn so I make a mark on the filter to make sure it's exactly 3/4 turn.

@@Danno_A_Jyd ... hii. I just double-checked the FORD Bronco Owners Manual, because I wanted to be accurate with my information. Ok, only 5w30 and 0w30 are approved oils for the 2.3L and 2.7L engines that come in the Bronco's. Just wanted to share that. The 0w30 is for extreme conditions.
@Danno_A_Jyd Жыл бұрын
@@HeatherStormTV I'm definitely old school, so we were taught that the higher the average temps were the higher grade[s] of oil were recommended. That made sense. B4 multi-grade oils were on the market 40W was recommended in summer in ChiTcago, but then again no one would ever think of using water-added gasoline in their motors. HMMMM! TYVM for the reply. 😁

There must be some back story to that paint code: "Look at the little red light: there was no alien. The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus. Yeah, 'cause you know what? He never appreciated you anyway. In fact, you kicked him out and now that he's gone you're gonna go into town, go to Bloomingdales, find some nice dresses, you know, maybe find somewhere you can get, you know, a facial, and hire someone to come in here & clean up after your messy oil changes fast because... damn. LoL. Area51 paint code!

I have to comment. You shouldn’t need an impact for your skid plates. You should always look up torque specs. Those skid plates should be torqued to 35 ft lbs. Plus, use anti-seize for those since you off road.
