20 Heat/Drought Tolerant Veggies for 2025

Spring is closer than it feels here in the Sacramento Valley, so I’m in the midst of planning my spring/summer 2025 garden. Here I discuss my heat and drought tolerant veggie lineup for the upcoming season.

My chili peppers perform much better when conditions are kept on the dry side. I plant mine close together so the leaves provide extra shade for the fruit on other plants, I don't cover them with shade cloth like I do bell peppers. So far, this has worked well in my garden.

I’ll definitely have to give that a try this year. Any way to deal with a little less shade cloth and I’m in.

Yeah. I’m still working on the technical part of this project. I’m a way better gardener than a sound engineer.
