OH MY GOODNESS!! Sweet Lady you answered the burning question for me!!! And you didn't even know. So embossing has been a problem, and I have asked many crafty youtube ladies. My embossing had dimples, why???? A lot of my supplies are older (that is a long story, mom passed) I didn't know how to make it look smoother, how??? So thank you so so very much!!! So now I must remember what to do (I have a brain injury and often a major problem, my memory). Save this video in my library and watch several more times. You are so smart!!! Creative and you made this semi-old ladies night!!! Yay me!! Thank you!

Great heat embossing tips, funny story, the very first stamp I ever bought in 1992 was a holly leaf and I was gold embossing to make tags. I did not have a heat tool so I was embossing from the back by holding it over my toaster! They came out great!

Beautiful cards, you always come up with fun new ideas, circles behind the apertures on the backing die is brilliant. Thank you.

I really enjoyed all the tips. Especially useful for me was the idea to emboss twice to reduce "pitting" and improve the smooth look. I would love to try using clear embossing over black, too - I get way too many black specks! And, finally, all the different ways you "backed" the cover plate with variations of flowers? Just incredible! Thank you.
Your tips and tricks are great, makes crafting life much easier. Thank you

@Jennifer McGuire Ink • You gave a great tip to think of 5 ways you can use a die before you buy it. Desire for the die is a great motivator to think creatively. I also like the way you showed us how to modify a card in the middle of producing it (e.g., by adding a frame.) The contrast between the smoothness of an embossed sentiment from the back versus from the front was also helpful. I'm sure I'll remember it now because, to me, the smoother look is worth the extra time. Another great video showing us how to produce beautiful, unique cards. Thanks! 👍

I know you have done some in the passed but I would love some new tips and tricks and especially tutorials for embossing folders and stencils. I have so many Mylar stencils it’s overwhelming and I was recently gifted a well moved but fully capable Big Shot and scored about 25 embossing folders for cheap before learning you can emboss a Mylar stencil extremely well with the correct “sand which” and now I am just itching for ideas and tutorials and your cards are always so fantastic and creative and BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for everything you do !

Hi Jennifer, thank you for those tricks! I always try to re-use packaging (Altenew‘s dark grey glossy cardstock they use with their embossing folders is amazing to die cut or emboss!); I also use the little bags to store excess die cuts or bits and pieces of a given project I have yet to assemble. I also use the acetate sheets which come with stamps - sometimes for shaker cards, sometimes to cut my own masks or as work surface for messy jobs. I love watching your videos - such amazing inspiration! Kind regards fro Germany, Nicola

I need to ask please, you make your own cards to suit the size of card needed, I have a box full of store bought cards that are usually very small sizes (craft stores charge exorbitant prices for packs of these sadly).
