99% OF YOU DON'T KNOW THIS INSANE HEATGUN TRICK: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6SXfJx8mbCsoJI

I just throw the heat gun in a pile of lathe shavings. I know, you're thinking fire hazard. I keep rags of linseed oil on the shavings to protect them.

After years and years seeing your videos (both channels), you still surprise me with your ideas (and thanks for sharing). I still remember that one video about a golf ball and a wood door brought me to your expertise. I've learned a lot with you and you are responsible for a good number of my ideas turn in to great projects. I apologize for not being that type of person who interacts a lot on KZbin, but... I love your personality, way of thinking, intelligence and criativity. Thank you for the time spent with the videos for us all. Not a lot of views?! A least you reached Portugal already 😂 Success is being made! Hugs from here 🇵🇹 to there 🇺🇸 with wishes of merry Christmas

I just started putting bench dog holes in my table so I got to try my plan. Cut off a small portion of an appropriate dowel, drilled pilot hole, ran a small screw through an empty can.. boom. It ain't as pretty but it is HYPER effective for the low effort.

I hope this video blows up for no real reason.

I can't stand it when that happens. It's always the one with the least polish that gets picked. The best ones go unwatched as a 'what's this in the thumbnail' gets millions. The only reliably predictable videos are chainsaw content. Thus, we get Wranglerturd-and the clickbaiting empty talk content we deserve.

So many possibilities, the world is your heat gun oyster
@dogwoodtales11 ай бұрын
Add venting so that the heat gun can be left on while you’re working on the project. That way one doesn’t have to keep turning it off and on.

You kids today, and your silly memes. In my day, we sharpied it onto the back of the bus seat in front of us. THAT'S how you're supposed to learn about the birds & the bees!

@@FishyBoi1337 They were stolen sharpies! Aye me, that's when boys were _real_ men. Before airpods and 'hookups,' we listened through earphones and screwed. And when we called the ____ kid a ____, he'd smack us right back with a well-deserved commensurate insult, and things were settled without labeling the event as traumatic and resorting to pharmacological intervention.

Am i missing something? Why put a gun nozzle-down and make a special stand for that when they are supposed to idle or cool-down standing on the um.. butt ? It also should help them live longer as hot air rises and leaves naturally through the nozzle, not through the intake, heating the motor and stuff
@pocket83squared4 ай бұрын
Fair point, but two things: first, this holster is more about convenience during use than cool-down. Placing it upside-down between tasks is cumbersome (and a burn risk). Second, since the thing is a big block of room-temperature metal, it draws out lots of heat from the gun's tip by conduction; it's a heatsink that'll work for quite awhile to diffuse excess heat in between uses.

But if the Pocket picks a piece of copper pipe, to pipe a pocket for the piece of copper, then where's the piece of copper pipe that Pocket picked? . . . _now say that 3 times in a row_

Is that a heat gun stand?

No, it's a broken shower valve. But nobody watches videos about those.

Or 3D print the perfect shape and do a lost PLA aluminium casting of it.
@pocket83squared11 ай бұрын
Melted aluminum would be a great way to do it. It's just a simple steel bowl mold. The hole might be a little tricky.

i need to buy a heat gun just because i wanna make a little stand for a heat gun.
@pocket83squared10 ай бұрын
In the description, there are a few reasons to own a heat-gun. If you haven't used one before, start to think about getting one. Every shop should have one.

With the current price of mixing valves this is completely unattainable for me.
@pocket83squared11 ай бұрын
Which is exactly why I discussed a ton of alternatives. Note that you could look for a junk valve at a non-ferrous recycler, or ask around when somebody's remodeling. Give me a break. This has been requested dozens of times.
