Does it matter if check valve is on return or supply

Checks on the supply for sure. It could be checks in the circulators, or zone valves. Occasionally checks are needed on returns, primary secondary branches for example.

How about if your pumps are on the return and the pump has an internal check valve will that work. Or do you still need a flow valve on the supply
