Mine is the heat press circuit itself, not a home breaker. Been using the same press for 3 years, now it barely stays on 30 seconds and the circuit on the heat press trips and shuts the machine off. It won't reach temp, doesn't stay on long enough for even one shirt...Suggestions? Its working fine with hat dye, mug dye, plate dye but turn off with tshirts press

Please help, my press keeps tripping the earth leakage. I replaced the cable and plug as I thought the problem might be a faulty cable or plug making a short. My press is not even switched on at the switch and then it trips. I've used it before on the same wall plug with no problem. When I test between nutral and earth there is a dead short but I am struggling to trace where it comes from. My press is not even 2 years old and hardly used.

It would be oh so helpful if you could explain what you are doing and why as you go through the debugging. Otherwise, pretty useless.

What was the end result, bad relay?
@legalweedreview16758 жыл бұрын
A bad relay was the result according to the MFR. HOWEVER after paying $25 to ship the $8 part to me it did not fix the problem. The company then wanted me to do the video again. and after going back and forth, it is now sitting on the shelf not working. So I now have two china machines, this one and one that gets too hot and turns itself off. I learned that I needed to spend the extra cash and get the US made product that would also be seviced in the US if something goes wrong. 6 months of dealing with China to not even get it fixed was miserable. I now own a DK20s and have not looked back. I would still like to fix this machine and if I do manage to find out the problem I will post an update. Cheers, Lee

Is your meter ok? It looked to be ok until you first tried to take a reading, but it looks as though for the first reading you had it set on the low millivolt range, and vastly overloaded it. The readings subsequent to that were not reporting true - or even any - values, so would suspect that the meter was damaged... In addition, the red pilot light on the relay indicates that it is energised, so confirming that the fault isn't in that part of the circuit.
