Kudos to Dave and gang! Absolutely best background and use info on heat pumps. Going dual fuel here in Massachusetts. My outside AC failed which prompted me to go Energy Star cold climate heat pump route.

I love this video! I recently had a Mitsubishi IntellHeat system installed which is a duel fuel system with a hyper-heat condenser which is capable of running efficiently in cold temperatures down to zero. So this video answered more questions than my contractor even could. I wish I knew how I could change the set point for when the heat pump kicks on. I’m in Wisconsin and I did have trouble finding a contractor that was certified in installing this system and I wasn’t exactly satisfied with the job that they did. Mitsubishi lists several what they call Diamond contractors but I called around and this one was the only one that would tackle the job. I can’t believe how quiet this system is. I have to stand right next to it in here in the summer but it is a little louder by a fraction in the winter but nothing near what my old AC system was.
