How often do you flat iron your hair? And at what temperature? Do you change flat iron temperatures to straighten and then to bump?

1x/month. I silk out with 450 and sometimes I turn it down to 410 to bump/style. I don't think I did this time

How dod you keep your press straight when showering and exercising? It seems no matter what I do when I blowout or flat iron my hair the shower cap does not keep the hairline from getting wet and I would have to use heat on it everyday which I don’t want.

Yes I want to hear train to loosen my curl pattern and use less wigs. Any tips for ppl that sweat in the head during sleep? My ends look good in the morning for like 2 days but the roots sweat out the same night bc i get so hot. And bc you don’t apply grease the roots are dry and brittle due to humidity under the wrap. To be honest I sweat in my scalp during the day too LOL. Do i just have to wait till winter

Look how long your hair has gotten again. You can get heat damage from blow dryers if you use those thermal brushes because then the heat becomes direct (and then its the brush not the dryer), but regular diffusing or rough drying when you keep the dryer moving will not cause heat damage.
@Dontbelievemejuswatch6 ай бұрын
Back in the day, y’all know yall momma pressed y’all’s hair with grease and ya hair was way down ya back. Now it’s “don’t use grease cuz ya gone get heat damage.” We have gone back to tha basics ova here!!

@NanaNaima16 ай бұрын
There is no such thing as indirect heat. You're applying/blowing heat directly on your hair, it doesn't get more direct than that. For some straight hair naturals they have a better resistance to damage when using heat so the method of "heat training" isn't for everyone but it works for some.
@TheTierraJ6 ай бұрын
Not true. Direct heat would be a flat iron/pressing comb/straightening brush. A blow dryer is hot air, not direct heat.

@@snoodysnoody8118 it is the same thing, I guess "heat trained" is just hair that's still heat damaged but not as extreme
@sweetcy26116 ай бұрын
Not true different bonds are broken that make hair become heat damaged it's noticeably different. Hydration is key when heat training it's pressing the hair safely. Can be done has been for years when people went to the shop regularly.
