This professor is fantastic. I've never gone to this school or had him, I'm just watching his videos to review some fundamentals, and wowwie. Great work, Professor, and thank you.

This professor is the only reason I understand even the most basic of concepts, I'd have an even worse grade if it wasn't for him.

Interesting, can we express (hAs)/(mCp) as 1/(Rtotal*mCp) Where R can be as Rconv+Rcond and how has to be looks Biot number in this case?

Is the h, in this example given? I don't see it in Appendix A.1.

my question as well..
@nirajneupane45492 жыл бұрын
yeah h should be given. value of h is not given in appendix. if value of h is not given you need to find h yourself. for that you will need nusselt number.
@yossefatia35362 жыл бұрын
In Copper sphere example how was h obtained? How do you find h in general I assume you need tables with a few properties. Thanks

shouldn't Bi be much greater than 1 to use the lamped capacitance method
@triambakeshwar87662 жыл бұрын
Nope, you use Hiesler's charts then. For less than 0.1, LCM. For greater than 100, error function method.

I hope in the future yall would get some people who can work a camera correctly and give the person watching the video time to write down what is being said or was just written. Having to stop every few seconds gets annoying and makes me lose my train of thought and ability to focus on whats being taught. We do not need to see the professor walk from one side of the room to the other explaining things while drinking coffee. Please in the future find better people to operate the cameras.

We gave the camera operator this feedback. Later videos don't have this issue.

how could L sub c (volume to surface area) of a cylinder == radius/2 !!! its unverified
@azurqasm27462 жыл бұрын
I believe it's for slender (very long compared to their diametres) cylinders, where r is not that long compared to l? That simplifies the characteristic length to roughly r/2.
