I don't understand why some people are leaving disparaging remarks about an infomercial or sponsorships. A lot of these companies are smaller than they rely upon channels like this to showcase their products. I would never think that you could run an AC off of solar. It's up to each individual whether they believe the person or not but I wouldn't be subscribed to you if I thought you were liars. I'm also not mad that you got it for free. You have like 50,000 subscribers and that can reach a lot of people people with like-minded interests.
@OffgridwithJayandJen6 ай бұрын
I appreciate that Scott......there is definitely a huge misunderstanding from some folks about the whole YT world. Without these awesome companies sponsoring smaller channels like ours, there wouldn't be a channel, it's simple. Without our subscribers there wouldn't be a channel......most folks understand how it works...but the 2% that don't get it are not something I worry too much about. We appreciate you my friend and thanks for being one of the good ones here. Plus I really had fun with this video and answered a question and problem we have had literally thousands of comments about. Win win

@OffgridwithJayandJen6 ай бұрын
I will do updates as the summer goes on. But so far the unit seems to draw 500-600 watts for heat and 700-900 for AC....which is great because our solar can produce enough energy to run it throughout the day
@richardanderson3586 ай бұрын
How long will your power units run it?
@WRHAP4 ай бұрын
This is perfect. Thanks so much. Our AC is killing us… over $500 a month in the summer. We looked into splits and were quoted around 9K for two units installed. To be fair, the HVAC person who gave us the quote uses high quality splits that have lLong term warranties and can be repaired. He advised against your brand and those like it because they may not be repairable. But heck, if we were to get three years use out of one and replace it ourselves, and did that every few years, we’d still be way ahead.

Hey buddy.....as you may remember our system is of similar size and we ran the unit for 8 hours straight during the daytime that week when the Temps we in the high 80s. As long as the sunshine was on my panels, it didn't even effect the batteries.....we pull in about 1200-1500 watts all day long with the good sun exposure we have and that tracker following the sun all day. I did not run it once the sun was off the panels because it would obviously draw the batteries down within 6-8 hours with only having 5kwh Here as well
