Caicedo is the most lazy argument. Firstly, as an individual he's been very good, Tom saying poor is objectively wrong. His numbers are similar to last year and we love watching him tear through midfields, just watch more.. He's said Gusto can't defend and Caicedo's been poor. I'm positive the only times he's watched Chelsea is the 3 times they've done a live on here. Secondly, Chelsea paid what it took. You don't pay, you don't get. People seem to think that your final value is the level you should be currently playing. Keep that attitude but it's just not how football works anymore. It's an investment. Same as if joined LFC for the same amount. It's securing one of the best young (23) versatile 6/8's in world football that you'll have at your club for years. It's an investment. It's the thing with saka. He's young and hasn't been at the elite level for long so if anybody wanted to they could probably think of a game he's had when he wasn't amazing so it's easy for people to think he doesn't show up in big matches. If he stays at this level along with arsenal for another year or 2 it will be harder for people to think of his poor games and will likely more widely be considered world class.

Zinchenko is probably one of the most underrated players now based on the way everyone laughs when you even mention his name. He's in the 96th+ percentile on passes attempted, completed, and progressive passes per 90. He's capable of recycling possession in Arsenal's system better than almost anyone else capable of that LB spot

When Arsenal attempt to have like 95% field tilt, having an average defender like Zinchenko doesn't really matter most of the time when he's so good at everything else

First time I’ve disagreed with Tom on that matty cash shout. The Villa fans I know (quite a lot due to living in the area) can’t stand the guy most weeks and want him replaced. Personally i think theo put in a stinker here ,onana and varane have been very good this year ,varane goes under the radar because his tackles are clean and tidy,whereas a Martinez for example does more agressive tackles so other united fans latch onto it,varane is manuniteds best cb for sure.also lewis saying "varane has been replaced by evans "shows he hasnt watched manunited and calling him a "champions league merchant " just seems stupid tbh,hes manunited cb by far
