In this video we will show you how to replace the heater blower motor fan on Ford Edge first generation 2007-2014. It should also work on Lincoln MKX since they share the same platform. We demonstrated how to remove and replace the blower motor fan on 2009 Ford Edge with the 3.5 engine.

Great straight to the point video. My blower is squealing and I am going to apply oil to the shaft somehow, I am thinking. Hopefully it will last. 2016 MKX for me.

I have a 2012 MKX and my blower had the same squealing sound. After about 6 months it stopped blowing air completely. I bought a new blower motor from Rock auto for $64 (there are cheaper ones) and using this video had it installed in 15 minutes. The stealership wanted $500 to do the job.

Thank you. I fixed mine but still making noise. My 2011 glove compartment seemed to be different than my 2007. Couldn't get it out easily. It looked bolted in. The clips made it come down but looked like I needed to take out some screws. Then broke part of glove compartment. At least I have heat

so, here is a question and issue. fan is working off and on no matter what the fan setting. I removed it to put a new fan in but decided to test it after I removed it and it worked at all speeds. put the fan back in and it won’t work at any speed. what can be doing this?

Can you tell me where the drain hose is connected by the condenser, I looked by the gas pedal and I found the small PVC line that goes out. But the hose from the condenser is not there.

You guys are so good! My 2009 MKZ, the heated and ac seat work on the passenger side, but on the driver side, only the ac portion works. Any idea?

(Probably too late of a reply to help you but to someone else with a similar problem) it’s more than likely one of the TED modules aka the fans that are in the seat bottom or the backrest, the coil that heats up to produce the hot air that is then blown through the fan will usually have a wire break off just from age causing it to no longer heat up, the car then realizes that and shuts the heated seat off because it detects the problem. I had the same issue in my 2009 MKX and when I pulled the back of the seat off and took the fan out everything appeared okay until I swapped it with the passenger side and then the passenger side no longer worked. Took it apart and that’s when I realized the wire had separated.

I have a 2008 ford edge . When I cut the heat or air on before I would hear a noise from the dash and now I can hear it try to click in but it doesn’t blow . I would it be the blow motor ?
