I'm a die hard , old school, Journey fan and Steve Perry's voice is one of a kind . I've heard this song covered by others , including the guy who took over Steve's place in Journey once Steve left and thought , nope they're not Steve . That is until now . I love this one, it will definitely throw you back in your seat . Heath has such a powerful voice . Now this is what I call natural talent !!! So glad to know it still exist . Steve is for sure a legend... I do agree with Brian too.. I love this acoustic version with a bit of his country twang.. I'm not sure if they're playing this in the same Key as the original, but either way the Key they're playing is perfect for his voice.. great vocals!! One of my all time favorite bands..... im 38 and ive been a fan for years. This song got me thru all kinds of losses. I can’t think of anything else but a way of paying a tribute to Steve Perry; and if you’d thought about that too before recording this video we are grateful for that too!! To me Steve Perry is a live legend, he made Journey, and its legacy which has deep roots of unforgettable memories for generations. As of today, my children (13 and 10) stick with me listening Journey’s greatest hits. Steve Perry vocal capabilities is beyond the high standard in the music industry!! In my opinion of course, Perry stands head to head and toe to toe with another great rock legend who’s left us a while ago Freddie Mercury!! Pass it on guys…, and if you ever have a chance to bump Perry around, let him know how much we appreciate everything he did for the love of his music, his passion, interpretation, and of course his charism. Journey is my dad's favorite band of all time. I'm 36 and been listening to this since I have memory. Even before I learned to speak English, this song has given me goosebumps. I enjoy country music as well. The mellow sounds of the guitars and that awesome southern accent are an amazing match. Your execution on this, with they country style and the fact that you didn't try to emulate Steve's vocal range, but adjusted the lyrics to yours, man, I'm shocked!!! Love this!!! Thank you ❤💪
