It's like Heather is shaping her personal space and energy flow circuit trough her mood.. I'm imagining it in different colors and in architectural geometry and i'm imagining wonderful structure shapes .. Just wonderful ..

Incredibly hypnotizing…when the traces of movement can still be savored far past the moment they were expressed.

It's interesting that the proportions of the body translate into shapes that we fine aesthetically pleasing. The circles caused by the fixed locus of the joints, the ratio between the reach with legs straight and legs bent at the knee. Perhaps our brains are wired to enjoy the proportions that we see in human bodies. Good work!

Sure its more a kind of performance, I mean: the focus is not the pictography itself, but the artist's gestuality. That's what is expressed: the gestuality, it has an aesthetic content by itself. Like picture in picture. But I guess its one of the most poetic performances I've seen. I'd like to watch her in action. Also, she has a pretty body, and a kind of sensuality in her movements. Atractive.

I chosen Heather as one of the artists to research. I love the idea of Heather moving to create the image, very flowing. I have to make art inspired by her, I don't know how I'm going to do it cause I don't want people to see me move around on a piece of paper, all messy lol.

Ms. Heather Hansen, do you have a biography? We were asked by our teacher in our humanities class to feature an art and the artist and make a summary/reflection on why we chose that art. I love this kind of art because it deals with body movements, and it's like DANCING (something which I love) at the same time making an art. That's if you're ok with it. Thank you for this kind of art. ^_^

and while she's creating art through learning about her own movements, people come to criticize and call the art "childish". i dont know whats more childish, her art, which she does not have to explain to anyone, or the people who dont even try to understand it or see it from her point of view. its sad we still live in a world where judging others is the only way we feel acomplished

Vain as 99.9% of contemporary conceptual art.
@teditafel84305 жыл бұрын
curious what you see as vain? is it simply because she is using her body? I see that this comment was posted 5 years ago...... I have just now come across the video.
@shely_D7vil4 жыл бұрын
Ngl, I understand what all this people mean, and I guess its okay if you see this as a description of "**flow, movement, creation, mood vibes"** buuut to me it comes as very pretentious and obsolete, I feel like she even does a better job at expressing anything when she can see and think what she is about to do lol. I wouldnt say this is peak of anything, but anyway I very much respect the ones that are fascinated by it because I guess I can _kind_ of see why
@tmwalrus4 жыл бұрын
@@teditafel8430 Indeed it's an old comment but 'vain' is still a valid qualifier for me. In the sense that whenever artcrafts stay almost exclusively within the conceptual, like in this case, then they become self-referential and therefore vain. It is still art, of course, but of very little value. And, yes, there is a scale of values in art, which *has to be* somewhat objective. Meaning that the "it's beautiful because I like it* argument, has no stay in the reality of things.

@makaniistorm86647 жыл бұрын
I disagree, it's true that it isn't hard to do but that can be said for a bunch of artists. I found the work very expressive and meaningful, a main aspect of art and the way her body move is choreography, a type of art (performance art) so I say it is art.
