I have been intimidated to even try weaving but u made it easy to follow and u explained it so it is easy to understand! I am dyslexic so the way u showed how to do it was just what I needed to see and hear and now I want to try! Thank u Heather, u are a great teacher! ❤

Thanks so much for letting me know Kim. I understand your struggles and have trouble understanding the weaves myself! This is going to be a fun learning journey and I am grateful for your feedback. :)

Heather I love this weave and I agree with you. I live the thicker wrap to be on the inside and the single wrap on the outside. It looks more polished this way. Thanks so much for sharing with us. 💝🥰🤗

The fact you didn't cut the base wire into 2 pieces and just put a bend in the middle instead is something I've never seen before! Giving us that "loop" at the one end is *super* helpful. 💯

That's awesome to hear Amber. Being a newbie has it's advantages!

I have been wire weaving for ten years, and am now teaching beginners classes. In general, we use an eight gauge difference between the frame wires and the weaving wire: so, 20 ga & 28 ga, 18 ga & 26 ga, etc. I would call the pattern you’re using a three, one weave. I also suggest compressing the weave to make it a neat, compact weave. We call it “scrunching” the weave…a technical term.

Thanks so much for the great tips Pam!

I leaned something new. All I’ve seen KZbinrs do is pull the ends parallel so the top is not even. Cleaver way to make it fully round! Very clever!

Thanks Lynn: I am flying by the seat of my pants and learning as I go by experimenting. I'm so happy this one was a success!

How long do you leave for the loop
@HeatherBoydWire29 күн бұрын
Do you mean the top loop? I usually cut the wire about 1/2 long to make this kind of loop. Some of the viewers made it larger!

I have always avoided wire weaving like the plague and am learning as I go. I also get stuck with the directions of the wires. I've drawn diagrams to hopefully help people with the designs. If you want to try you can start with basic designs like this. Good luck and don't hesitate to ask any questions and join the 10-Day Challenges group for help!
