The Top 55 ASMR Triggers of 2013---A Binaural Triggerfest Of The Year's Best Tingle Tries

Hello everyone! This binaural ASMR video is the result of 5+ hours of filming (till dawn) over 60 triggers (the list of triggers is below) that appeared in my videos over the last year that you guys expressed enjoyment for. I edited this down A TON to try to make it more cohesive. I am sorry I have been MIA---I filmed this right after getting over a bug, and even though I felt good, my face is puffy (illness related...and Ramen salt overdose related). I almost made this whole vid all audio because I felt very self conscious seeing myself while editing, but I didn't want you to miss out on visual triggers---so I am sacrificing my vanity because you guys contributed to one of the best years of my life, and you deserve my best effort. You guys have been on a journey with me (even if you didn't know it) and I can't think of any better people I would like to go into 2014 with. Thank you for everything. Random fact, but the reason the human body is attracted to sparkly things is from a very old instinct to search for water, when sun hits ripples it creates a sparkling look, so with that ball for example, it causes that instinct to flare up.

I'm not sure if you'll read this, but let me start by saying; I LOVE and value your work. You do an excellent job in a newly crowded subset of absorbable content. I can not stress enough how many times I have sought out your work to relax myself, or to fall asleep. Each time mind you, I was more than satisfied and left wanting more. I hope that you eventually get to a place where you don't worry so much about how you think you look during these videos. Hey thank you so much for this comment! You are very kind to take the time to write it. I know that I shouldn't be so harsh with myself, but it is hard for me for different reasons. My face shape never went back to normal after i had surgery in the summer, and though I am def not swollen like I used to be, sometimes it's hard for me to see myself when I do get puffy cause I miss my old face. And I have been having crazy skin reactions lately---worse than I ever had as a teen, and I have no idea why. So sometimes I get very frustrated with my face :P I def appreciate your words though. I really do. You're very nice.

Ok, so in real life, I get ASMR all the time, especially during haircuts or whispers near the ear. However, I've yet to find a video or simulation that does the same thing. Is that common? The scissors were closest, and your voice is very pleasant, but no tingling scalp unfortunately.

Dave Bautistaroid I'm similar, I find i can experience it much more intensely in some real life situations compared to these staged ones which only ever give me mild tingles, but its still on demand and I can use it to help me sleep so it's happy times!

Matt Surman Oh yeah, no complaints, the whole thing is very pleasant. I was just wondering if that was normal. I also wonder if there's a mental barrier that I have thrown in front of this--"it's not real." So the brain never lets the sound in. It was crazy to start reading about ASMR and realize I've experienced that my whole life. Like, when I sit in for a haircut, I have my eyes closed the whole time, it's just scalp tingle city, man.

Try wearing headphones. Or if you already do, try taking them out or wearing different types of headphones. I've found that it works better for me if I have the small earbud kind of headphones. But if you're wondering if it's normal not to experience ASMR with videos, then yes. It's totally normal.
