Road Trips in Scotland - Falkirk to Glasgow Part 1

Another great journey !! When you asked yourself why you were on that particular road, believe me but your not alone there. I do that same thing on many a trip, should I go this way or shall I chance the other.. haha especially after accidents on motorways when it says long delays etc... you know what I mean. I used to stop at Shell Garage Cumbernauld on my way to Aberdeen... I wouldn't recognise this area now by the looks of things, its been that long...

@Bevoin1970 Glad you liked it. The only other ways I can go to avoid this are the A801 from Polmont down the Avon Gorge to Bathgate (20 miles extra), or over the Slamannan Moor from Falkirk to Coatbridge - a lovely run but torturous in a car transporter and full of potholes after the winter! The Shell garage (Old Inns) has been fully rebuilt and is still cut off from the road until it is finished. Stay tuned! Robin.
