The growth in Bentonville/Fayetteville is astounding. Two out of every three house are either newly remodeled or are being remodeled. The downtown is nice, clean and has all kinds of cool little shops and places to eat. Anyone that lives there is very fortunate. I highly recommend visiting, for those who haven't been there, yet...oh, and TONS are places to shred, obviously!

Bentonville looks amazing, hope to get there, I have winter’s off. A model of how a town can cater to the expanding MTB community and find an economic niche. Up here in NY we are seeing more and more trail centers, Bentonville takes it a step or two beyond. The traveling/ van / semi nomadic MTB crews are showing us on KZbin what is out there. I have been a life long downhill skier and the excitement of going to new ski areas as a kid in the 60’s is similar to what is happening now in the MTB world. The covid push for people to hike and bike has been a catalyst for the outdoor adventure businesses. When I bought my Mongoose Rock Hopper around ‘91, the riding was hiking trails and jeep roads, when I got my schwinn Moab hard tail , still no MTB specific trails that I ever rode. Last summer I got back into MTB at 64 on a specialized turbo levo comp and have been like my ski-kid old self discovering all the amazing places to ride and enjoying all the positive energy around an action sport in nature!! Pre-internet the amount of information on any sport/topic was much harder to find, now I can dive as deep as I want into the MTB world from my office chair or living room couch. Lastly, in the early’70’s when “HOT DOG SKIING” was all the buzz changing the ski world, us young and wild teens only had magazines, some movies, and limited money, even still we could build jumps, ski moguls, buy the gear and grow our hair. Adventure sports are a life long passion, just buy a new bike get in the woods and watch the years melt away!!!!

It's just getting a bit to crowded here. The whole cycling thing is more for people who came here to work for Walmart than it is for natives.

Yo! Heather! My father and I found that tunnel at night a couple of weeks ago, it was lit up, had water flowing into and through it in that trough step down area and was about 20° cooler in there!!! That was probably one of my highlights of the entire trip, all of the trails that led down (leopards loop) to there from that four-way stop intersection was the absolute absolute sickest thing I've seen in a minute as far as hidden trails go!
