This plot arc was definitely a sign of what was to come in series 14 but here it was handled better than had it been there, as it would have been over and done with within a single episode, thankfully it’s Sally’s main Story arc for Series 13, although they could have fleshed out Sean a little more, he does mention Joe and how there was a lot of back and fourth between him and Sally, but it’s obvious he seems to neglect that she wanted to put her career first and it took Joe making the decision to transfer sideways to prove that he loved her, which was the point of Sally she was a career driven female firefighter who let love be a secondary part of herself. It’s just a shame for Series 14 they forgot that she was a strong tomboy and turned her into for the lack of a better word a slut who within 2 episodes is kicked out of her flat because she slept with her flat mates partner, she proceeds to sleep with Frank Mooney on the roof of the station and then spends the entire series flirting and having a back and fourth with her married (Acting) station officer Chris Hammond, completely ruining the character because that series decided to be a soap opera killing any chance the show had of a future

All I can say is that Pitbull was still snooty to Coleman but he helped out Blue Watch and well done to Coleman for putting a stop to the acts of Sean bothering Sal of what he has done to her. Pitbull may have been a brute but when times are like this, I can see he can do something about it.
