For everyone saying that Kristolyn's voice doesn't blend as well with Jessica's and Elle's as Alice's did: It very well could be that their voices don't blend as well, but you do also have to take into account that there are usually a total of 6 voices singing this song (there are offstage voices... I believe they are pre-recorded), so only having one person on each harmony is going to make it sound funky no matter what when you compare it to the soundtrack or an actual performance of the show.

Yessssss I love kristolyn and it's very annoying to see people critique her and compare her Alic she and Alice have amazing voices. Yes kristolyn's is higher but it's still adds something and it's different. Plus the back up singers add harmonies too

It's never recorded, it's three additional girls in the ensemble standing stage left with the other teens: the hippy chick, the Republicanette, and the stoner chick (I think, their scripted names are somewhere along those lines). But this show doesn't have any pre-recorded parts as far as I know, definitely not in this song.

I saw it just before it closed and saw this cast and the understudy for Veronica who blew it out of the water! She was amazing and gave a very different read on the role which I kinda liked better. So glad the show is finally licensed by Samuel French and can be performed by colleges and community and regional theaters etc. Yeah!
