joer5000, the IM-17 does not measure current, only Volts and Ohms. Therefore, the gauge of the DC probe wire, which is a shielded cable, is not very important. That cable is only used for DC Volts (where the input impedance is 11M Ohm, so max current is about 90uA) and Ohms (with test current also very low), so any shielded cable you choose should be more than good enough. I suggest selecting a shielded cable with an outer diameter close to that of the other two test leads, for appearances sake.
